Back to School Beauty - Stick with Metallics.

Want a simple way to stay on trend? Add some metallics, albeit subtle metallics, to your shadow collection.

Bobbi just launched a collection of palettes, exclusively for Nordstrom. These are the Metallics.

Could it be more beautiful? This is the Burnt Sugar Metallics palette. These shimmery, highly pigmented shadows were adorning my eyes over the weekend. And they were beautiful! The powders are so soft, that they almost feel creamy. The shadows are formulated for all-day wear, and my lids are showed no signs of creasing.

Pictured from left to right: Toffee, Gold Dust and Burnt Sugar. I used Gold Dust over my entire eye lid, from lash line to the top of my brow. I then applied Burnt Sugar over most of my lid, just not bringing it all the way into the inner corner, near my nose. I used a bit of the Toffee shade in my crease, and extended it upward and outward, to give my eye a bit of a smoky look. Finally, I dipped my eyeliner brush into Toffee as well, and lined my upper and lower lash line. Beautiful!!!

There are three more Metallic palettes, including Mignight Metallics that feature Platinum, Rockstar and Midnight; Velvet Plum Metallics which feature Raisin, Champagne Quartz and Velvet Plum; and Forest Metallics, with the shades Sage, Balsam and Forest.

Each Bobbi Brown Metallics palette sell for $45, and are exclusive to Nordstrom.

An Q & A with Makeup Artist Bobbi Brown.

Glam.com scored a great interview with the most wonderful Bobbi Brown. She is one of my favorite makeup artists, as she designs makeup for real women. And her skin care items are fabulous! Her face balm is the best for overly dry skin.

In the spirit of this great interview, I thought I would share a few of my favorite Bobbi Brown items.

I use two shades of her eye-shadow almost daily. I use Bone as a base color and Smoke as my eyeliner, with one of her slanted eyeliner brushes that came in one of her shadow palettes. I use her Shimmer Tube Tints a lot too. I just l-o-v-e the minty flavor, and like the Glow Sugar Shimmer Tint over many of my lipsticks. and her Shimmer Bricks are awesome, if you have never tried them, don't hesitate. My favorite is Brownie, and it one of my favorite bronzing palettes, ever. In the summer, I swear by her Extra Tinted Moisturizing Balm, with SPF 25. It is just enough coverage, all the moisture I need, and it last all day. Not to mention that medium tint blends perfectly with my (self) tanned face.

Be sure to take a few minutes to check out the interview with Bobbi over at Glam.
