Fall 2011: Bobbi Brown Marrakesh Chic Collection.

A few years ago, Bobbi Brown traveled to Morocco for an inspiring week-long bike tour, which took her from the Atlas Mountains to the coastal plains. Can you imagine? What a trip! The highlight of her trip was Bobbi’s first stop to a marketplace in Marrakesh, where she found no shortage of color. Surrounded by jars filled with saturated pigments, mounds of fabric in the most vibrant hues, burlap sacks of anise, cumin and turmeric spices, and antique woven kilim rugs in beautifully weathered colors, her senses were overwhelmed. Moved by these colorful sights and smells, Bobbi returned home with endless inspiration for what is now the Fall 2011 Collection called Marrakesh Chic.

Featuring intensely pigmented colors, this collection is designed to be smudged, swiped or blotted to create a stained look that’s fresh and wearable. Bobbi Brown Reinvented Mineral Makeup.

Some of my favorite foundations come from Bobbi Brown. Her Skin Foundation has a prominent place on my vanity as I use it a few times a week. Now, I am not a huge fan of powder foundation and have had a problem with mineral powders in the past. With that said, if there is anyone that might get me to change, it would be Bobbi. For those reasons alone, I am pretty excited for her new Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15 ($38.00).

The formula is different and new. It is a unique blend of mineral powder that perfects skins appearance without leaving an unnatural or artificial looking sheen. A Vitamin C and E complex is added to help protect again free radicals, while Glycerin, Soybean Extract and Ceramides help to soften and smooth the skin.  Sodium Hyaluronate helps prevent any dryness so makeup never looks cakey.

Bobbi says that if you just need a light coverage, use a face brush to get a nice even coverage.  If you prefer a more medium or full coverage press and blend the powder into skin with a powder puff. You can then build on top of that with a face brush.

Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful 2.0.

Bobbi Brown created the Pretty Powerful campaign to symbolize Bobbi's belief that all women possess natural beauty, and with the right tools, are empowered to a higher level of pretty.. Pretty Powerful, Pretty Amazing, Pretty Gorgeous.

In January of 2010, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics launched a campaign called Pretty Powerful. It featured photos and videos of real women. This campaign featured 20 women who became the faces of the campaign. This year, on August 1st, Bobbi introduced us to 30 more women in the Pretty Powerful 2.0 campaign.

In this years campaign, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has captured all of the women in before/after photos, videos and testimonials, along with face tips and application charts where they will live on the website. I love seeing what real women use to get their look, don't you?

Also, Bobbi Brown is launching a new contest being called Tour of America. This contest asks women to upload their photos to be the face of their state. Those with the most votes and likes will be moved up to the top of the list. In mid-November, the person with the most votes will be the official face of their state, with all 50 states being represented. Out of all these, Bobbi will choose a winner from the top 50 to fly to New York for a Bobbi Brown Master Class - quite dream come true.
