Your Best Skin: Bobbi Brown EXTRA Eye Balm.

Bobbi Brown's skincare EXTRA's are just that. They are extra help remedies targeted to give specific areas a bit of extra help. Except, that these beauties give more than a bit of extra help - they are skin care wonders in themselves.

Her Hydrating Eye Cream made my favorites list as I do use it every night. When I feel like I need an even extra added bit of moisture, I turn to this EXTRA Eye Balm.

When I say balm, I mean it. This beauty of a balm is a very rich balm. So rich, it is not meant for daytime use, unless you are lounging around all day and don't plan on wearing makeup. It is hard working and as it is a balm, it does leave a bit of a greasy after feel. Greasy in a good way, though. It drenches the thirsty eye area in moisture as Vitamin E is a main ingredient.

EXTRA Eye Balm helps fight puffiness, reduce the look of fine, dry lines, and soothes and protects skin.

If you need a bit of extra help in the eye are, and really who doesn't, check out EXTRA Eye Balm at the Bobbi Brown counter or online now. The hefty jar is $60. As a tiny little bit goes a long way, this jar will last an extra long time.

Bobbi Brown Introduces Illuminating Finish Powder Compact Foundation.

Color me excited to learn about this latest foundation launch from Bobbi Brown. It is a powder foundation called Illuminating Finish Powder Foundation.  Now, if anyone can get a powder foundation down pat, it has got to be Bobbi, right?

Look what she has to say about this foundation:

It’s taken me more than five years to create this foundation. I tested it at shoots, on models, friends and my team until I got it just right. Applied wet or dry, it evens out your skin and gives it a brightness that lasts all day—in any kind of lighting. And because it’s so finely milled, it looks incredibly natural.

I used to wear powder foundations all the time - until I started to age too quickly that is. I would notice that after a few hours of wearing, most powders would start to hide in the crevices of my face, accentuating my lines. The fact that as I am getting drier skin as I get older didn't help things either. It was getting very difficult to find a powder that did not dry me out even more, or look cakey or ruddy on my dry skin. This foundation sounds like it will not settle into lines, nor make me look dry or cakey.

I have not tried this yet, but I am told that Illuminating Finish Powder Foundation has a creamy feel to it, that will do away with shine, and give a radiant glow to the skin, while looking natural at the same time.  It is supposed to be build able, as most powder foundations are, and the powder contains reflective pigments that soften and diffuse imperfections while giving a soft radiant glowy look to the skin.  I cannot wait to try it!

Here is the official word on how this foundation was made and how it works.

The Feel  - A unique combination of emollient coconut glyceride and spherical powders give the formula its soft, weightless and cushiony feel and help it glide on easily and blend seamlessly.

The Finish  - Coated pigments provide a matte, velvety texture while reflective pigments deliver a fresh, healthy glow. Spherical powders bend the light for a soft-focus effect.

The Benefits - Two kinds of algae and Virgin Seed Oil—rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids—and Lotus Flower Extract strengthen the skin’s natural moisture barrier for a soft, supple and radiant complexion.

As I mentioned powder foundations are build able, it is just a matter of how you apply it. For high coverage, smooth it on with a damp sponge. For medium coverage, apply it with a puff or dry sponge.
For sheer coverage, dust it on with a powder brush.

Illuminating Finish Powder Compact Foundation is available right now, in 20 skin-tone correct shades. Look for it at Bobbi Brown counters or online at bobbibrown.com right now.
