Enjoy a showcase of color cosmetics and body-care products, as you help your favorite brands raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.

They have a little video teaser up, and it looks like they will be having products from Tarte, Prescriptives, Laura Geller, Philosophy, Ojon, L'Occitane and more.

Pink Ribbon Nail Polish

How about a Pink Ribbon in the form of Nail Polish?

bca_essie_a.jpgThis year, Essie Cosmetics offers two products in support of Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

During October, a percentage of proceeds from two limited edition Essie products will be donated to The Libby Ross Foundation. The Libby Ross Foundation will use the contribution to aid in their mission: to make a significant difference in the lives of women afflicted with breast cancer through unique support programs as well as seeking to help eradicate the disease through research and early detection.

bca_essie_b.jpgThe products:
Pink Ribbon nail polish: a pretty soft pink shade of nail polish with a touch of shimmer. $8
Pink Ribbon mini duo: a mini bottle of Pink Ribbon nail polish adorably packaged together with a pink-tinted crystal nail file, the essential manicure tool. $12.99

To purchase, visit essie.com or call 800-232-1155 for selected specialty retailers and fine salons.

About the foundation: Founded in 1999, in memory of Elizabeth "Libby" Ross, who lost her battle with breast cancer on July 24, 1998, The Libby Ross Foundation is a New York based not-for-profit organization run by young professionals. Their mission is to make a significant difference in the fight against breast cancer through development and funding of programs for outreach and support as well as treatment and research. It is the Foundation's goal to become a national advocate in the fight against breast cancer.

Wear it for Support!

Wear a ribbon this month - a pink ribbon, please!

bca_pin.jpgThe prettiest pink ribbon I have found is from non other than Estee Lauder. This is the ESTΓ‰E LAUDER 2006 Pink Ribbon Jeweled Pin.

Available at Estee Lauder counters nationwide and on their website for $15, Estee Lauder will donate $13,000 from the sale of this limited-edition pin to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, a charity founded by Ms. Evelyn Lauder, herself.

The pin features the signature ribbon in hot pink jewels. I am running to my local counter today to purchase one before it sells out, and I will be sure to wear it everyday this month.

Here is information about the Breast Cancer Research Foundation: The Foundation was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and genetic research. The Foundation supports scientists at leading medical centers worldwide whose research is focused on achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime.  A minimum of 85 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs.  In October 2005, $22 million was awarded to 110 researchers across the U.S. and in Canada, Europe, Latin America, and Israel. Money magazine named BCRF one of America’s eight top charities. The Foundation has received the highest rating from Charity Navigator, four stars, for five consecutive years, which means BCRF has outperformed most other charities in America in efficiently managing its finances. For more information, visit http://www.bcrfcure.orgor call 1.866.FIND.A.CURE.
