Holiday 2012: CHANEL Eclats du Soir de Chanel.

It is time to start talking Holiday. With less than two months until Christmas, and so many beautiful holiday collections and beauty gifts popping up on my desk, I figured I better get moving and finally start sharing my favorites with you. First up is a beautiful Holiday makeup collection from CHANEL.

This years Chanel Holiday collection is called entitled ÉCLATS DU SOIR DE CHANEL. Intrigued by the alchemy of precious metals, Peter Philips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, created this beauty of collection that sets the mood for the whole season. Gold and bronze shade harmonies, dust eyes with festive shimmer, while soft beige, pinks and deep reds set the face, lips and nails aglow - perfect for all the celebrations to come.

While all the pieces are ripe for the picking, if you want to give a Chanel lover the ultimate gift, pick the Regard Signe de Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow palette. Each shadow is embossed with a quilted effect and the CC monogram, reminiscent of the classic Chanel jacket button. You have to love it, as every Chanel fan would. The shades of dense bronze-gold, violet-plum red, smoky taupe and pink are gorgeous.

The Perfect Lip & Nail Duos: Les Twin-Sets de Chanel.

CHANEL’s Fashion’s Night Out limited editions are legendary. That says a lot seeing as this is only the 4th year that their even is such a thing.  This year, Peter Phillips, creative director of CHANEL makeup, has come up with LES TWIN-SETS DE CHANEL, and I am pretty sure that I have to have them all.

The new LES TWIN-SETS DE CHANEL is a three shade collection of lipstick and nail polish duos. Twins! For the lips: Rouge Allure Velvet, the luminous velvety lip colour sets a modern, elegant style. For the nails: Le Vernis, complements the lip range by taking on bursting shades. Each set is currently on trend for fall, with shades of dark plum, rose pink and muted beige.

La Provocante and Provocation - A beautiful plum set for fall, that is perfect for the darker purple we are seeing.

L’Infidèle and Infidèle - The prefect deep rose, good for any season.

Bombay Express de Chanel.

This limited edition collection from CHANEL comes at the perfect time, as summer is all about the glow. Bombay Express de Chanel is the work of Peter Philips, Creative Director of CHANEL. He brought gold into the glow this year, as it is his vision of India.

Each year, the CHANEL Métiers d’Art fashion show celebrates the exceptional talent of the Métiers Houses, pairing their know-how with a legendary destination. This year, Bombay Express de CHANEL showcases a specific vision of India. Peter Philips, Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup, intensifies the proportions of iconic Indian eye makeup to give it a universal character.

Graphic makeup with saturated colour blocks stretches out from the corner of the eye to express strength and femininity. Eyes succumb to the boldness and mystery of a black eyeshadow in all its nuances with ILLUSION D’OMBRE Mirifique. The rest of the face focuses on gold and light. The Exclusive Creation of the Collection is a precious, evanescent golden powder to dab onto cheekbones and eyelids in scintillating touches. In its classic black-lacquered case, ROUTE DES INDES DE CHANEL recreates an embossed motif of a rare fabric, a piece of bronze brocade from an Indian-influenced collection created by Gabrielle Chanel in the 1960s. A stroke of blush structures the face and warms the translucent complexion with the hint of an elegant and sunny earth tone. Lips remain natural, enhanced by the luster of luminous beige shimmering with gold. On nails, an original nail polish mixing pale gold and silver recalls the traditional festival of lights, for which it was named Diwali.
