Holiday 2013: Collection Nuit Infinie de CHANEL.

The CHANEL holiday collection is the ultimate in luxury. It is not just rich and bold, it is refined in every way possible. I look forward to this collection every year and find myself amazed at how beautiful each one is. This year is no exception. Just look how beautiful it is.

Setting a captivating tone for Holiday, a new makeup collection expresses the magic and mystery of an endless night. The refinement of beige is emboldened by a sweep of bronze on the eyes. Cheeks are flushed with a muted pink blush shade with hints of shimmer. This is perfect for either day or night and I've been wearing it since I received it. I think it is flattering for all skin tones.

This glowing peach beige powder offers the perfect finishing touch that lights up the skin for a subtle glow. Not only do I like to dust this all over my face as a final touch, I dip it in a large shadow brush and dust it over my eyes after my shadow is finished to further blend out and give my shadow an airbrushed glowy look.

Fall 2013: CHANEL Superstition Makeup Collection.

The new CHANEL Superstition Makeup Collection is in a word - beautiful. With shades of khaki, which can be worn by everyone, and matching pairs for cheeks and lips, this one has me yearning for fall and cooler weather now.

A firm believer in luck, Gabrielle Chanel surrounded herself with her favorite charms and talismans, as much for good fortune as for inspiration. The symbols that warded off superstitious fears now serve as silent muses for an enchanting Fall makeup collection. Sumptuous khaki tones are set off by new ‘lucky charm’ duos: entrancing, shade-matched pairs for cheeks and lips.

I love makeup shades that match, and pairing up cheek and lip colors are genius, especially when you want everyone to look at your eyes. Trust me, with these shades, that is where you want the focus to be, because the quad and shadows (Gri-Gri!) are intoxicating. I can't get enough. I think the pairs provide the perfect balance and help those that have problems when selecting coordinating colors, especially when going for a bolder lip and eye.

The metallic and khaki shades in this palette are captivating. Like I mentioned above, you want the eyes to take center stage when using a palette like this. The colors are so incredibly beautiful, no matter how you wear them.

I have been wearing Golden Ivory on my brow bone, Silver Taupe all over my lid with Golden Khaki in the outer crease. Matte Khaki is perfect as a complementary liner.

Eyes are beautiful with these chic powder shadows in soft lavender and luminous taupe. Gri-Gri is going to be one of my all time favorites, I already know. The shimmering taupe shade reflects the light so beautifully. Pair the shades together for a soft, shimmering neutral fall eye.

This smudge-proof bronze khaki eye pencil looks beautiful with the quad as well. It offers a slight bit of metallic to it, but nothing too overpowering. I love how it lasts all day with no smudging.

Lashes go bold while finishing the khaki look with this bronzed shade of khaki. I like using it with the liner, but over a base of black.

In January, CHANEL opened at Hysan Place, the new luxury temple located at the center of Hong Kong. It is in fact, the largest CHANEL boutique in Hong Kong. To celebrate the event, CHANEL created an exclusive Hong Kong de CHANEL Collection in which a universal gold shade unites the extremes of deep brown and brilliant white. It is definitely a vision of east meets west.

The collection includes a beautiful eyeshadow palette and two nail colours.

Pearl River Eyeshadow Palette - $80.00
The elegant rectangular case reveals an original combination of five shadows embossed with the iconic quilted motif of CHANEL. Like the shimmering light on water, the Pearl River palette offers a harmony of golden white, a vintage gold nuance and intense peach for a soft, radiant effect on eyelids. Looks can be natural or sophisticated, depending on how you choose to wear them. Either way, the look will be illuminating and eye opening.

Nail Colour - $30.00
Two contrasting nail colours echo the extremes of the eye palette. Elegant and modern Eastern Lights is a luminous, very opaque white enamel. Western Light is a deep and intense chocolate brown glowing with a pearly red heart.

Pearl River is a gorgeous palette that I am saving for summer. With the brown, gold and bronze shades it will be perfect with a golden glow, don't you think?
