Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream.

Just when you thought the BB Cream craze was over, the beauty industry has launched what they are calling the CC Cream. The CC stands for "color correcting". A CC cream is designed to not only immediately help color correct skin with a pigment, it contains ingredients to color correct skin, for the better, over time. The first CC Cream I have tried is this one, the Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream.

The full product title is a mouthful: Moisture Surge CC Cream Hydrating Colour Corrector Broad Spectrum SPF30. The title, in fact, does say a lot about the cream. It is a CC Cream, so it color corrects. It is part of the Clinique Moisture Surge line, so it is hydrating. And it contains an SPF 30. What it doesn't tell you is how nice it feels on my skin and how much better my skin looks before makeup. That means I need less foundation and my makeup looks better when I use this.

You see Clinique's experts incorporated advance color correcting technology that utilizes light to achieve radiant, glowing and healthy-looking skin. The color is dual layered. It features special color correcting optics to scatter light multi-dimensionally to neutralize skin's complexion. It makes my skin look more even and radiant, as it gives my skin a soft, almost radiant glow. And that is before foundation.

I like to think of this CC Cream as is a primer with treatment properties. While it is true that this can be worn in place of foundation, I cannot wear it alone and call it a day. I honestly don't think many could. UPDATE: I wrote this a few weeks ago and need to correct the previous statements. I wore this cream over the weekend INSTEAD of foundation. My skin is looking amazing and the light coverage was enough for me. It has a lightweight texture that feels great as it glides over my skin. My skin looks more even and more radiant. When going for a full makeup look, I will use it before makeup, which makes my makeup look better. For everyday, I will use it on its own.
