Own the Weekends with COVERGIRL.

Summer is my favorite time of year and the weekends are the best, aren't they? Whether I am heading to the beach, going out for a fun date night with my husband or simply visiting with friends at a barbecue, I take the time to incorporate the great summer trends into my look.

This year, I'm all about mixing a bit of denim into my wardrobe, adding on a big necklace and spicing it up with some wedge heels. For makeup, I love a fun, flirty look with color, but I still make sure my skin looks its glowing best. On my nails, I'm loving bright pops of color and nail art, which is a must this summer. COVERGIRL has the products that help me create my summer beauty look and it has me owning the weekends and feeling confident. It's nothing short of magical when a few great makeup products can make me feel my best.

COVERGIRL Summer Looks

For a flirty look on my eyes, I have been obsessed with the new COVERGIRL Flamed Out Shadow Pencils, Flamed Out Shadow Pots, Ink It! By Perfect Point Plus Gel Eyeliner and pull it all together with Flamed Out Mascara.

Flamed Out Shadow Pencils offer great creamy color in bold shades. These double duty pencils are easy to apply and have a cooling feel to them; they actually impart a cooling feeling as I glide it over my eye. These are great for both shadow and liner.

Flamed Out Shadow Pots are perfectly sized pots filled with highly pigmented colors, which are perfect to keep on top of all summer trends. They are silky soft, apply with ease, and stay in place all day.

Ink It! By Perfect Point Plus Gel Eyeliner is a self-sharpening, long-lasting, gel eyeliner that comes in summers hottest shades. It applies like a dream and lasts all day long with no smudging.

Flamed Out Mascara is my summer mascara of choice. This mascara is different in a big way, with a big brush that has a little cushion to it. The brush helps evenly coat lashes and deposit the mascara pigment all over lashes. By doing this, it helps to add a lot more volume to lashes, and helps them curl up and out at the same time. This comes in a regular version that is perfect for everyday or a water resistant formula that is perfect for a day at the pool or beach.

My summer fun, flirty look was created with Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Crystal Flame, Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Sapphire Flare, Ink It! Eyeliner in Aquamarine Ink, topped with Flamed Out Mascara in Black Blaze.

For my skin, I want a natural, softly bronzed look, with gorgeous glowing skin. To get this look I love, I have been depending on COVERGIRL Clean Whipped Creme Foundation and Clean Glow Blush & Bronzer.

Clean Whipped Creme Foundation is the type of foundation I need in the summer. It is light and airy feeling so it feels like I am not wearing makeup. Even with the light, whipped texture, this offers a nice medium coverage that makes my skin look perfect. I apply this with a damp sponge to get the glowing makeup look I love.

Clean Glow Blush & Bronzer provides natural, lightweight color with it's three varying shades of blush and bronzer. I like to apply the darkest shade to the contour of my cheekbone and then take a fluffy blush brush and swirl the colors together and apply as I normally apply a blush. The look is perfect, each and every time.

As I mentioned above, on my nails I love a pop of bright and fun summer color. I actually put my nails to the ultimate challenge when I traveled to Chicago last weekend. I painted them first thing on Thursday morning, and they were still looking great five days later. I used COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis and they definitely outlasted my expectations. The base color was Pink Lady which is a bright bubble gum pink. I wore this on both my tips and toes. I created a little DIY nail art with a few of the other bright Glosstinis shades. I used Sangria, Orange Oasis, Lemon Drop and Appletini to create the polka dots. I dipped a rounded tipped bobbi pin into the polish and gently touched the tip to my nails. It made for a pretty easy dot without any fuss.

COVERGIRL Flamed Out Mascara Review.

I am a HUGE fan of COVERGIRL mascara. I have used just about every one that have, with my latest fave being LashBlast Clump Crusher Mascara. I have been using it daily since I tried it late last year. At night, I use it with another mascara for really bold - look at me - lashes. I almost didn't want to try their latest Flamed Out Mascara because I just love Clump Crusher so much, and didn't really have the need for another. But I've been hearing such good things that I just had to give it a try.

COVERGIRL Flamed Out Mascara Review

Flamed Out Mascara is very different in a big way - the brush. Just take a look at how different it looks. It is made with a thick nylon and wire brush with a little wedge, or indent in the middle. It was designed this way to more evenly coat lashes and deposit the mascara pigment all over lashes. By doing this, it helps to add a lot more volume to lashes, and helps them curl up and out at the same time.

Flamed Out is available in the following:

  • Very Black Blaze
  • Black Blaze
  • Black/Brown Blaze
  • Brown Blaze

I found that I need a good two coats with Flamed Out Mascara to get my lashes looking how I like them. To apply, I brush up, like normal. For the second coat, I sort of roll the wand up my lashes. This is easy to do because the little indent sort of hugs the lashes. My lashes look great all day while wearing. I experience no flaking, smudging, or clumping.

Will it replace my favorite Clump Crusher mascara? I like Flamed Out a lot and I am more than impressed with it. For an everyday low maintenance, light makeup look, I'll probably use Clump Crusher. But for anything else, it will be Flamed Out for sure. I am also going to try layering both Clump Crusher over Flamed Out for lots of volume when I want a more dramatic look.

COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation.

Have you ever spent a lot of time on your makeup, left the house looking flawless only to look in the mirror a few hours later and notice your makeup has almost disappeared? It's happened to me on too many occasions. That is why I am constantly on the search for great, long-lasting makeup products, specifically foundation. I am thrilled to report that I just found a great one in the new COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation.

COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation combines everything I want in a foundation to make it a staple in my makeup bag.

It comes in very upscale glass bottle with a pump. A foundation pump is essential in my book. The pump (which twists open and closed) makes it easy to disperse and measure. One pump provides enough foundation for medium to full, buildable coverage that is lightweight and leaves a long-lasting soft, natural matte finish on my skin. I say natural matte, as the finish is not a dull flat matte that enhances dry or oily skin like many matte foundations do. This foundation leaves my skin with the perfect natural matte look.

As the name says, it also does the job of three products. The formula contains a built-in primer, concealer and foundation with sunscreen in one. The primer helps the foundation glide on smoothly over skin and sets it in place. The concealer hides imperfections easily, as the foundation smoothes over fine lines, hides pores and diffuses light to create a beautiful, even look to the skin.

My favorite part about the foundation is the lasting power. Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation goes on and looks beautiful on my skin first thing in the morning and lasts, looking perfectly set all day long. Take a look at me around 9:00 AM when I first applied the foundation and then again around 5:00 P.M. after a long busy day.

I used no powder over my makeup, and while some of my makeup on my eyes and cheeks have faded, my foundation still looks as good as it did when I first applied it. I should note that even after a late night out, my foundation was still looking good when I went to take it off around 11:30 that same night. It doesn't get better than that.

After experimenting with different application methods, I like applying the foundation with my Beauty Blender sponge and dotting with my fingertips on spots where I need more coverage. If you don't have a sponge, fingertips alone do a great job, better than a brush in my opinion. Just be sure to start in the center of your face and press the foundation into your skin and gently blend it out.

COVERGIRL has you covered in a variety of 14 shades to match a great range of skin tones. From lightest to darkest, they are:

  • Ivory
  • Classic Ivory
  • Creamy Natural
  • Buff Beige
  • Nude Beige
  • Medium Beige
  • Natural Beige
  • Warm Beige
  • Creamy Beige
  • Soft Honey
  • Golden Tan
  • Cleassic Tan
  • Tawny
  • Soft Sable

I am using the shade 832 named Nude Beige, and it is a great match for my skin tone. It actually looks darker in the bottle than it does on my skin. I know it is sometimes tricky to find a shade in the drugstore, so keep in mind that I have found that the colors are actually about a shade lighter than they look in the bottle.
