Ahhh... Nothing like a few days in the Florida sun to get me wanting to get a little glow on.
While I am longing to start my self-tan ritual, I know my skin is just not ready for it yet. I have a good month of prepping to do. I will go into this more in another post, but you know to get the longest-lasting, most even faux tan, the prep work can make ALL the difference. For now though, I will settle with bronzing it up with just a powder. I have been dipping into my favorites like Guerlain Terracotta Blush & Sun, Lancôme Sun Cherub Bronzer, The Illuminator from Prescriptives, and my Clinique Shimmering Tones Powder, but I see some great new bronzers on the market that I am just needing to try.
Dior Bronze Original Tan
This new bronzer comes in four perfectly bronzed babe shades. It is on the pricey side, $42 - but it is Dior.
Moroccan Sunrise Pot of Gold Loose Bronzer
This one really intrigues me. I don't think I have ever used a loose powder bronzer, but it might make application make a bit more believable. I am willing to try this pot, which comes in one shade only, from Sephora. It sells for $22.
Origins Sunny Disposition Liquid Bronzer
Sometimes, a liquid bronzer can be the most natural looking, especially if applied just where the sun would touch you. I am really looking to give this a try to see how it holds up. It comes in one naturally flattering shade, for $20.
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess SunBlush Illuminator
This is more like a blush/bronzer highlighter that makes your sunny glow, really glow with it's beautifully pearly illuminator. For the fair skinned or those just staring to get their faux-tan on, this is perfect too. This Illuminator comes in just one perfect shade for $32.00
LORAC TANtalizer Baked Bronzer
This beauty is baked on terra cotta making it super silky-smooth powder that leaves a luminous bronze color. The compact is handy as it contains the bronzer in the top compartment with the brush and mirror in the lower compartment. TANtalizer is also only available in one perfect univerdally flattering broning shade for $30.00.
Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Mineral Bronzing Powder
As part of their new Summer collection, this Mineral Bronzing Powder will help get you glowing while getting mineral benefits at the same time. This silky powder is infused with aloe vera and chamomile – for soothing and moisturizing benefits. This bronzer, which comes with a great kabuki brush to apply it perfectly, is $32.00. This powder comes in Light, Medium and Deep so you can select the depth of bronze for your skin tone.
