Friday Finds: November 16, 2012.

This week I played with a few beauties that came right from the drugstore - CVS in fact. All of these products are new at CVS/pharmacy this fall, so be sure to check them out there.

1. Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Gloss -$5.99
This super glossy wax free glosses deliver high shine and a ton of pigment. I am surprised at how well these last without being sticky. In 12 colors, they are a bargain and have me wanting to pick up more.

2. got 2b POWDER'ful Volumizing Styling Powder - $6.29
This hair powder doubles as a dry shampoo as it absorbs oil in the scalp as it adds volume to the roots. Sprinkle a small amount in your part and by turning your head upside down. Brush hair and watch the wow. It makes my hair looks so much fuller, thicker and full of volume. Hair feels a bit tacky or stiff, which seems make help volume and curl stay in place too.

3. Sally Hansen Salon InstaGel Strips™ Starter Kit - $29.99
I love Sally Hansen nail polish strips, so these sparked my interest. You apply the strips, then a special gel top coat, and cure it under an LED light to make sure the polish lasts and looks glossy for two weeks. I received a box to try, but I couldn't because the lamp was broken in the box. I have to admit that I am not impressed with the size of the lamp (it's only for one nail at a time), and the nail strips themselves. They are not the same as the nail polish strips. If you've tried these, please let me know your thoughts.

4. Pantene AgeDefy Expert Collection - $34.99
Anti-aging products for the hair? You bet! As we age, hair thins. These three products from Pantene's new Expert Collection work together to thicken existing hair, making thinning hair look less noticeable. The products include AgeDefy from Pantene Expert Collection Shampoo & Conditioner and a Thickening Treatment.

Happy Friday!

This week I played with a lot makeup - my favorite thing to do. After the Sephora Employee Appreciation 20% off coupon where I spent more than I should, and now the VIB event happening now; I have a lot more to test too. I am also really excited to be winding down the COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss 7 Day Challenge. This new polish looks like it's a winner. Look for the full results next week.

1. Lumene Vitamin C+ Illuminating Anti-Age BB Cream - $14.99
This BB Cream is more like a lightweight makeup with multiple benefits. With Arctic Cloudberry at its core, it brightens like a primer, evens skin tone like a foundation, hydrates ike a moisturizer, corrects blemishes like a concealer and delays signs of aging while offering sun protection of SPF 20. It's one of the better BB Cream I have tried. It is creamy and offers more coverage than a typical BB. Shop at CVS.

2. IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5-in-1 Treatment Mascara - $20.00
This super volumizing mascara really opens up eyes as lashes get plumped up and glossy black with just a swipe or two of the brush. I love the little ball detailer at the tip of the wand to really get the formula into the bottom lashes.

3. COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Brillliant Nail Gloss - $5.49
This new nail polish needs no base or top coat. That's right, it is built right into the formula. The formula is beautifully glossy and glides over my nails with ease. I'll show you more next week, but wanted to tell you it just launched in stores, so look for it and pick a shade (or two!) and give it a try too.

4. LORAC Couture Shine Nudes Duo - $28.00
I originally bought this glossy duo for my daughter because she is obsessed with a nude, glossy lip. It didn't get that far, because once I saw these in person, I kept them for myself. The lip gloss set contains two glosses: Vintage, which is a glossy light beige color and Muse, a soft pearly pink. I am using the pink shade all over, with a dot of the beige in the center of my lips. The look is beautiful.

5. Diorific Long-Wearing True Color Lipstick - $36.00
I couldn't resist this limited-edition shade of precious Rouge Diorific lipstick in Lady, a beautiful true soft red. It comes in a gorgeous vintage-inspired gold case. I bought this for the case alone, yet I'm impressed at how much I really like this red.

Happy Friday!

This week I tried a lot of new skin care and was really happy with a lot of them. I am very impressed with this new serum, pore treatment, peel and primer. I also fell in love with a new L'Oreal Paris nail polish from the new Project Runway collection.

1. ELLE Cosmetics Face Primer - $30.00
This oil free face primer transforms skin into the perfect canvas for applying makeup. Not only does it feel silky smooth, it seems to fill in my pores and fine lines, while adding a hint of luminosity to my skin. Makeup applies evenly, lasts longer, and looks brighter.

2. Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Serum - $65.00
This velvety serum works similar to Retin-A, yet it is more gentle. The combination of powerful vitamins results in a higher level of treatment to reverse the signs of aging skin, while not being irritating.

3. OLEHENRIKSEN Lemon Strip Flash Peel - $48.00
This one-step exfoliating peel is powered by lactic, glycolic, and fruit acids that work to exfoliate and resurface the skin, while algae extract soothes and calms. In just a few minutes, skin is brighter, tighter and glows.

4. L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nail in The Queen's Ambition - $5.99
This glossy black nail lacquer is filled with chunky silver glitter for a stunning nail look. It applies evenly with two coats and lasts on nails up to a week.

5. Perricone MD Intensive Pore Treatment - $75.00
Special ingredients in this treatment actually unclog pores and purifies them. After just using it for about two weeks, my pores are more shallow and smaller. I can't believe how well this really works to make my pores look nearly invisible.
