I have been amping up the makeup a bit and wearing deeper colors - and experimenting more than normal. I swear it has more to do with this Laura Mercier palette than anything else. This Master Toolbox is awesome, and I am really really liking it.
In one compact, there are two really nice sized palettes that open up separately. Also included are fabulous brushes and a great eye kohl pencil. So, there are five beautiful eyeshadow shades and five lip colors. The shades are all very wearable for any skin tone. Not so much neutral, but the best of the basics, if you will.
The shadows are so soft and silky, blend with ease, and last all day. No creasing or fading. The lip colors are perfect as well. I have been trying them all, layering them, wearing them alone, adding a gloss on top, etc. There really is a lot to play with when you have a perfect array of shades such as these.
Here is the color rundown:
Lips -
- Tea Rose (delicate pink nude)
- Pink Champagne (cool rose)
- Cinnamon (warm brown)
- Amaretto (mauvey pink bronze)
- Garnet (purple red)
Eyes -
- Morning Dew (matte/ light neutral pink)
- Rose (sateen/ rose gold)
- Fresco (matte/ neutral beige brown)
- Chocolate (matte/ deep warm brown)
- Twilight Grey (matte/ grayish purple)
The eye pencil is in Black Violet.
If there is one palette that you invest in for the winter months, I urge you to try this out. You will not be disappointed one bit as Laura Mercier has definitely gotten this right. I am so excited to try more of her beauties.
The Laura Mercier Master Toolbox is $68 at Sephora.com, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Macy's.
