Pick of the Day - CARGO PlantLove.

Botanically based and beautiful. This is PlantLove from CARGO. Not just lipsticks as when PlantLove originally launched, there is now a full professional makeup line to select from.

CARGO is the only prestige color brand to carry the globally recognized ECOCERTTM natural designation for its comprehensive environmental commitment. Not only are the ingredients natural and organic, the packaging is as well. The tubes and compacts are all made from biodegradeable materials, while the outer cartons have flower seeds embedded right into them, making them easily plant able.

PlantLove includes the following products:

  • Botanical Lipsticks $20 - 20 beautiful shades that glide on and stay.
  • Eye Shadow $20 - 18 shades of shimmer and glimmer that are perfect for all day wear.
  • Eye Liner $16 - 6 wearable shades to line and define.
  • Baked Bronzer $28 - a beautiful universally flattering shade with a touch of satin shimmer for a sunkissed glow.
  • Lip Gloss $20 - 8 shades that are perfectly wearable on their own or over lipstick. Check out Jasmine, which is a beautifully sheer, see through shade with great shimmer to use over lipstick.
  • Baked Illuminator $28 - 3 shades are mixed together and marbleized to give your skin the ultimate illumination. There are also 3 color mixes in the line.
  • Loose Mineral Foundation $30 - 5 shades which are pretty adaptable for most skin tones. This powder is super soft giving a sheer, yet beautifully build able finish.
  • Lip Balm $20 - One of my new favorites, this creamy balm helps to quickly repair dry, chapped lips.

  • Pressed Powder $30 - 2 flattering shades to touch up or use over foundation.

PlantLove is exclusive to Sephora, so next time you stop by or surf over, be sure to check them out.

MAC Hello Kitty!

Hello Kitty is available now.

I went to shop at MACCosmetics.com this morning and everything was sold out - but there must have been a glitch or something. Of course, this was just my luck because I hauled myself to Nordie's to get what I could in store and come back to find it all available back over online at MAC well as Nordstrom.

Anyway, I spent over $600 and it is so worth it. As soon as I have a chance to get some pictures, I will get some up for you. The lipstick are the best, thought I don't know how I can possible use them as they have the Hello Kitty engraved right into the lipstick itself. For me not only is the collection super fun to wear. but I have been a Hello Kitty fan for years. I have boxes of Hello Kitty items from my teen years and these will be a huge part of my collection. really - it can't get much better than Hello Kitty and makeup, right?

Hello Kitty was such a huge launch for MAC that some celebs even came out for the opening last week. Take a look at the gorgeous Lindsay Price and Ciara - with her very own Hello Kitty doll!

As part of the launch party MAC tapped into its fashion reservoir of friends and assembled a team of 30 internationally renowned designers, to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are inspired by the Hello Kitty collection. They asked designers to work within the colour palette of the Hello Kitty collection of black, grey, white and pink and posed the question, “What would MAC Hello Kitty wear if she were a fashionista?” And make no mistake, she is a girly, girl!

Designers were given creative freedom to create pieces in their own aesthetic and unveiled the exclusive designs to the world at the Hello Kitty cocktail party where they showcased their ensembles.

The designer team includes the very talented; Blugirl, Catherine Malandrino, Charlotte Ronson, Dress33, Elie Saab, Emanuel Ungaro, General Idea – Bum Suk Choi, Giles, Hervé Léger by Max Azria, Kai Kühne, Kate Sylvester, Katy England, Manish Arora, Marchesa, Miro, Opening Ceremony, Qiu Hao, Rosa Cha, Ruffian, Sang Beg Ha, Shu-Chi Huang, Sinha Stanic, Tadashi Shoji, The Blonds, threeasFOUR, Vicente Villarin, Yigal Azrouel, Zac Posen, Zimmermann. The designs included both avant-garde and more traditional creations from smart cocktail frocks to Kitty couture swimwear.

Now is your chance to get in on the action and bid to win one of the designs, as the Hello Kitty designs will be auctioned off on eBay, with all proceeds benefiting The Museum at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. Specifically the proceeds will go to the Acquisition Fund, which allows the museum to acquire garments for their permanent collection from up and coming design talent who cannot afford to donate.

Right now, the auction is live on eBay. To bid on these exclusive designer creations, please visit the page over on eBay. Bidding will be open internationally and will remain live for ten days. The auction closes on February 19th, so get on over and bid now.
