Global Goddess Beauty Spring Cleaning Tips.

I recently received an from Global Goddess Beauty founder Shalini Vadhera, where she shared some spring cleaning tips.

These are not your average spring cleaning tips, this is more along the line of what you need to throw out and refresh your makeup bag with. As spring is a time for refreshing and renewing, I though it a perfect time to share her tips with you.

Spring is here and for many of us that means spring cleaning. Freshening up our wardrobe and home is a given, but what about preparing for the warm months ahead by junking that dried up mascara and dirty foundation and treating yourself to some fresh, new & now replacements. Cleaning out your makeup drawer is a healthy way to keep your look clean and fresh throughout the year, and definitely a healthy way to start the spring off right.

Follow the guidelines below for the cleanest & healthiest makeup drawer all year round and make sure that when time is up you replace your old products with shiny new ones so you can continue looking as fabulous as possible!

When to say goodbye...
Concealer: Up to 12 months Powder: 2 years Cream & gel cleansers: 1 year
Pencil eye liner: 3 years
Eyeshadow: 3 years
Foundation: 1 year
Lip liner: 3 years
Lipstick: 2 years, but if it starts to smell, replace it
Mascara: the fastest of these cosmetics to expire, will last no more than 3 months!

Here's a trick to keep your cosmetics lasting as long as possible. Use clean brushes, not fingers, for a healthy application. Brushes should be washed every 2-3 months in a mild detergent and laid flat to dry. If they begin to fray or split, replace them in order to ensure the smoothest application.

As a bonus, Shalini is offering a discount of 25% off all orders at Global Goddess Beauty online until April 15th. Use Coupon Code: Spring

P.S. One of the fab products in this quarter's edition of Beautyfix is a Global Goddess Eye Shadow.

Be sure to check it out!

Instant Radiance with Bronzer by Makeup Artist Tina Turnbow.

Celebrity and Beauty.com makeup artist Tina Turnbow shared her secret for instant radiance. What is her secret? Well, it mostly has to do with bronzer and how and where you apply it. Here is a short video with Tina explaining how to brighten up your complextion and warm it up with a bit of bronzer glow.

I don't know about you, but this cold weather and my pasty white skin makes me want to bathe in Bronzer right about now.
