When the heat of summer rolls in, the last thing I reach for is a heavy, full-coverage foundation. Instead, I whip out my concealer du jour and tinted moisturizer. This, of course, also means: time to experiment! My newest trial went to mark Get a Tint Shimmer Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 ($12). Launching this July, mark Get a Tint Shimmer Tinted Moisturizer promises to be a lightweight and oil-free, shimmering tinted moisturizer that provides a healthy looking glow in an instant. This is an update on mark’s classic Get a Tint, as the shimmer is perfect for summer to give skin a radiant, natural glow. Available in four shades: ivory/nude, buff/natural, honey/golden, almond/mocha (same shades as the original Get a Tint).
I admit, when I hear that a face product has “shimmer”, I worry about the dreaded glitterbomb effect. I like to avoid a super matte base as it can look a bit flat or chalky, but there’s a fine line when it comes to sparkles. I am pleased to report that mark Get a Tint Shimmer Tinted Moisturizer passes spectacularly! No glittery mess here. What’s even better? This tinted moisturizer leaves your skin with a lovely dewy glow that doesn’t smudge off on clothing or disappear in a few hours. I’m calling this one a winner!
