CHANEL Le Volume de Chanel Mascara.

The new Le Volume de Chanel Mascara is not only luxurious, it is simply wondrous.

The mascara is very thick and very black. The formula plumps the lashes super full and thick so lashes seem to almost multiply as it is applied. Lashes are lengthened as they take on a new life with the carbon black color.

The brush is like the best mix of a traditional feeling brush and the newer rubber tipped brushes. The bristles are shorter than normal mixed with some longer bristles, yet overall fuller than normal mascara brushes. It almost feels flocked. What it does do is make sure that each lash is coated with the wondrous formula.

COVERGIRL LashBlast Clump Crusher Mascara.

How many coats of mascara do you normally apply? If you are like me, you probably apply two to three coats. I think that is pretty normal. With every coat applied, I have to be careful of the dreaded clumps. I think we all want luscious, clump-free lashes. Well, this brand new COVERGIRL LashBlast Clump Crusher Mascara promises no clumps - up to 30 strokes.

That's not just it. Clump Crusher Mascara also amps up the volume by up to 200%. That's right. This mascara delivers the LashBlast drama you love, with up to 200% more volume and ZERO clumps, even after 30 strokes of the great green wand.

How does it hold up?

COVERGIRL LashBlast Clump Crusher Mascara

After 30 strokes of the mascara wand, which is about three coats of mascara, my lashes were noticeably thicker and darker, with no clumps in sight. I'd say this mascara lives up to its' name.

The formula, which almost seems dry, comes very cleanly out of the tube, so all you get is mascara on each lash. The lash-hugging curved brush design, with a straight bristle edge, basically custom fits the brush to the curve of the eye. It is super easy to get right to the base of the roots and concentrate the color right where I want it. Lashes look great all day, with no flaking or smudging, and comes right off easily with my normal eye makeup remover.

Clump Crusher comes in four shades:

  • Very Black
  • Black
  • Black Brown
  • Brown

I used the shade Black in the photos above.

Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara.

I am addicted to the big brush mascaras.  Not only do I find them really easy to use, they really deliver big results. This is most definitely the case with the new Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara.

Not only is the brush oversized, it is a multi-dimensional molded brush that makes it easier to build lashes quickly and effortlessly. The brush makes sure that mascara is deposited at the root of the lash and easily combed through with each brush stroke. This helps separate the lash, while stretching and lifting them at the same time. Make sure to take note of the dome tip. This aids in feathering, so that even the tiniest corner lashes are reached which is often harder to do with the bigger brushes.

A built-in base of polymers helps to prep lashes for the eye opening look I want almost instant. This blend acts as a base primer to immediately coat lashes and build volume as you sweep it over lashes.

I apply two quick coats, one right after the other and never have to look back. The volume is big and the color is a bold black. Choose from Black or Extreme Black for an even bolder look, which is perfect for fall.

Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara sells for $19.50 and is for sale at Clinique counters nationwide and at clinique.com as well.
