Spring 2011: Estée Lauder Pure Color Wild Violet Makeup Collection.

Pure energy that pulsates sultry sophistication is the inspiration behind the new vision in color by Estée
Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux for Spring 2011. The Wild Violet Pure Color Makeup Collection is a dynamic collection of high-performance makeup and fragrance products to highlight the spring season with a burst of enthusiastic color.

In this intensely vivacious collection, lips delight in shades of electric orange, brazen cherry and violet plum, eyes are smoldering in muted neutrals with wisps of purple for maximum depth and attention while nails are rich and smokey in a modern charcoal.

Adding to the collection, a vivid, lush fragrance called Wild Elixir, has a first impression of Genet Flower, Mandarin, Purple Freesia, Blue Jasmine and Wild Gardenia to create a lively experience and then Amberwood is blended in to complete scent with an energetic, multi-sensorial vibrancy.

Clarins Barocco Face Palette.

This face powder from the Clarins Barocco Holiday Collection is my favorite blush/highlighter of the season. The powder inside the beautiful packaging is a stunner. When swirled together, you get a beautiful beige peach shimmer powder, that I love on top of bronzer. It gives me the winter glow I so long for.

Bobbi Brown's Baby Boomer Beauty Tips.

Bobbi Brown was on The Today Show yesterday sharing some beauty tips for baby boomers. One piece of advice that resounded so strongly with me is that you cannot do anything to your lips, medically speaking of course.  If you were born with thin lips or they are thinning, use a good lipstick, is basically what Bobbi said. I agree with her and believe that concept. If you want to use fillers or botox and the like, elsewhere, that is fine. Suddenly walking around with plump lips that you have never had is just a no!
