The warmer weather is FINALLY here — yes! If you are like me, your makeup routine is lightening up a bit. One thing that I definitely lighten up on for summer is the foundation. Now, there are certainly times when a full face of makeup and more coverage is needed, but most summer days call for a lighter, more natural look. To get a lighter, more natural makeup look, I use a tinted moisturizer to even out my skin tone and hide flaws.

How I Treat Myself for Mother’s Day.

I can’t believe that it is Mother’s Day on Sunday. I have been dreading this weekend because I unexpectedly lost my Mom last year and my first Mother’s Day without her is going to be hard. For the past eight years, my Mother, sister, daughter and I would treat ourselves by having a girl’s weekend away to the same location. This special weekend away was always so much fun and something to look forward to. With such busy lives where we didn’t make enough time to treat ourselves, we knew we would get away and do it for one weekend. After a little discussion, my sister, daughter and I decided to continue the tradition without our Mom because she wouldn’t have it any other way. Mom was the queen of planning and fun — from trips to treating us. In her memory and from here on out, we will be celebrating Mother’s Day by treating ourselves and sharing lots of memories.
