Must Have for Tired Eyes: Smashbox Photo Op.

Sometimes I need more than just concealer under my eyes, and sometimes for me means most of the time, unfortunately. I am fortunate, however, to have found my saving grace: Smashbox Photo Op Under Eye Brightener.

Photo Op is a creamy peach-tinted iridescent makeup that is applied with a brush. It really perks up the undereye area making it look lighter, brighter, and over-all fresh. Just a few dabs under the eye does the trick, and it even works well on the inside corners of the eyes.

Smashbox Photo Op Under Eye Brightener  sells for $18 at Smashbox.com and Sephora. This is definitely a must-have for any of us early-risers.

A New Cream Blush to Lust Over - Lancome Color Design Blush.

To be quite honest, I have yet to jump on the cream blush bandwagon. I have always had a problem with both proper placement and blending. Well folks, things have changed and I think I am addicted. Why? Lancôme has designed a perfectly creamy, easily blendable cream blushes.

Lancôme's Color Design Blush is a new blush, that blends on smooth as silk - almost as if rubbing a silk cloth over your cheek. And I am being serious. I really love the way this blush feels and looks.

Color Design Blush comes in 3 finishes and 7 beautiful shades.

  • Creme Couture
  • Model Mocha
  • Petticoat Pink
  • Pret a Plum
  • Chic Cassis
  • Freeze Frame
  • Retro Rouge

I think I even found my perfect look. I use Creme Couture, which is a sheer, and layer Freeze Frame, which has a very sheer shimmer over it. The end result is beautiful I can't believe how much fun I am having with this.

Each Color Design Blush retails for $26 and is available at your Lancôme counter or Lancôme.com.

Halloween Inspiration from MAC.

If you really like to accent your Halloween costume with some makeup, look no further than MAC Cosmetics Halloween Looks section for some inspiration. The looks they feature range from beautiful, such as this one on the left, to scary or just plain creepy with some optical illusion special effects.

Along with the look, you will see a list of products to use that were actually used to create the Halloween look on the models.  And if you don't have the products they suggest, you can look through your stash and find something similar, I am sure.
