TRIA Hair Removal Laser Update 2.

I told you about the TRIA Beauty Hair Removal Laser back in October. If you haven't read my introductory post, please take a few minutes to do so, so you can follow along. Basically, I am testing out this new system from TRIA Beauty, a leader in light-based laser technology.

As I said, I am using the TRIA on my underarm area.  I began by using it twice a week. Over the past few weeks, I only use it one time a week. Why? Well, as you need to be cleanly smooth and freshly shaven before using, I cannot use it more than once a week now. Yes, this is progress.  I only have noticeable hair growth after about 5 days, and I am shaving then. The hair is much more thin and less sparse than it was when I began using the TRIA back in November.

I am still using the TRIA on a level 3. I fully thought that I would be able to use it on level 4, but I just don't like the stinging I feel. Some of the pulses don't feel like anything, and then all of a sudden, it almost feels like a bee sting to me. I must be more sensitive in parts, so level 3 it is.

I am thrilled at the progress. So much so, that I now take the time and use it on my legs once a week.  It takes just less than twenty minutes on each leg. I am on level 2 on my legs. The first time I used it on my legs, I did take too long and the battery died on me. But now that I have the pattern and motion in check, I can get a full forty minutes use out of the TRIA before it needs a recharge. It is important to note that when I received the TRIA, I was instructed to use the device twice a week for review purposes. The directions that come with the TRIA are different, explaining to use it once every two weeks. I settled on using it on just once a week on my legs - mainly because of the time involved.

When I began, I thought I would use this on my underarms and bikin area, where I am very sensitive. I think this is why I decided to use it on my legs before bikini area, but now that am quite comfortable with using the TRIA, I think I am going to add in my bikini area now. I doubt I will be able to tolerate anything more than a level 1, but we will see.

I am pretty impressed with this mascara and was really excited to try it, as it was my first using a Rimmel London mascara.  After two coats, the formula does get a bit clumpy, but two coats is more than enough for me. My lashes are really thick, lengthened and beautifully bold and black while using. After wearing all day, I experienced no smudging, and very minimal flaking.

English Oak is a beautiful myriad of warm brown shades. It is easy to get a beautiful brown makeup look when combining the shades, though getting the lighter shades on their own is not as easy as it looks, as there is only a very small bit of them, and most of my brushes pick up other shades too.  My favorite way to wear it is just by using a larger eyeshadow fluff brush and blend it all over the shadows together, and then gently sweep it all over my lid and crease.  It gives a beautiful daytime look. If I want more drama or depth, I use a crease brush and add in the darker shade just there.

Match Perfection 3 Tone Blush – $4.97 (at Walmart)
Wake up your face with a flush of customized natural cheek color. Featuring Smart-Tone technology that adapts to your unique skin tone and blue sapphire pigments for radiant true-to-you color. All you have to do i select your shades: Light, Light/Medium, Medium or Medium/Dark.

I didn't get to try this, but the idea is a good one. I love blending shades to get a more customized look. Hopefully I will find it in the store and give it a try. I am guessing I would use the Light/Medium, as the Light looks very pale, and I do like color on my cheeks.

Exaggerate Eye Liner – $6.00
This breakthrough liquid liner features an ultra-fine felt tip designed to absorb maximum liquid liner and deposit intense pigment for bold, exact application and majorly amplified eyes. This is only available in Black.

Stila Smudge Crayon in Kitten.

Stila's Kitten shade is a long-time best seller. It is the perfect shimmery pinky nude shade of eyeshadow, that I still wear quite often. It is one of those shades that looks gorgeous no matter how you wear it. It is great as a highlighter or on the inner corner of your eyes to brighten them up and make you look more awake. Well, let me just say that I think this new Smudge Crayon in Kitten ($22.00) is going to rival the original Kitten eyeshadow.

This Smudge Crayon is a primer, shadow,and liner in one. It is waterproof. I mean, this beauty does not budge. I have been using it under my brow and on the inner corner of my eyes since I got it earlier this week.

When using it as a shadow, you have to work fast and make sure it is in place. Remember, I said it does not budge. This is especially why I like it as a liner on the inner corners of my eyes. The line smoothes on and stays put, helping me look bright eyed and bushy-tailed.
