A Tease: MAC To the Beach for Summer 2010.

As I am headed back down south to Florida today, my thoughts are on all things sun and sand, along with some major spa hopping, that I have planned. I leave you with a little tease of MAC's soon to come Summer 2010 Collection called MAC to the Beach.

Can you even imagine in your wildest makeup dreams a pressed powder so beautiful? I know I will frame this in some sort of shadow box for my makeup room. BEAUTIFUL!!!

I cannot wait to find out more and bring you all the details!

The Ultimate Silkening Body Wash from Caress.

The ultimate silkening body wash from Caress? Yes! This new line of body washes are stellar, especially when compared to much more expensive brands.

Caress has stepped it up a notch with their tantalizing scents and silkening new body washes and beauty bars. They developed new scents with fine fragrance house Givaudan, and combined it with their own technology o create these new beauties.

First there are the new Whipped Soufflé Body Washes. These are definitely my favorite. The body wash is ultra light, yet creamy enough to lather nicely, rinse of clean and leave my skin super soft and smelling great. They are perfect to use for shaving too, as my legs couldn't be softer.

The Whipped Soufflé's come in two fragrances, Blackberry and Vanilla or White Peach. They are both delightful, but I am partial to the White Peach. Yum!

Also new to the brand are the Velvet Bliss Body Wash and Beauty Bar. These are a unique blend of blackberry and vanilla along with triple silkening moisturizers. These lather up a lot, but also rinse away clean and leave skin soft.

Next time you are at the drugstore or your favorite mass retailer, check them out. They are all priced below $4.99, so they are light on your wallet too.

Spied at Nordstrom: MAC's Opulash Mascara.

What did my eyes spy when I walked through the Nordstrom beauty department yesterday? The newest mascara from MAC? The one that is said to give DiorShow a run for it's money?

Yes, MAC's newest mascara called Opulash was at the Nordstrom MAC counter, to which it is an exclusive. That is why I was confused, you see. I usually get press information prior to a launch, and I had not heard about this being available yet.

I was pleasantly surprised and just had to purchase.

Here is the description:

"Big, fat, full, bouffant lashes! Dramatic density and curl achieved with a giant brush! Fibers go in all directions for thick, rich, even application with no clumping. Long-wearing formula—up to 15 hours—quickly thickens lashes root to tip."

In other words, Opulash is a volumizing mascara. It does a great job at both thickening and lengthening my lashes, without any clumping or caking. The brush is much larger than a standard size brush, and it is nicely tapered to insure easy coverage of lashes in the corners of eyes and the lower lashes as well.

This formula contains beeswax, which makes for a really smooth and even application. One coat gives my lashes what I like for everyday, and as it builds from there, so does the wow factor. Two to three coats gives me major lashes, the lashes I most often crave.

Besides adding volume, Opulash is said to add and hold a curl. I honestly do not have a problem with my lashes holding a curl so I did not notice a difference when using. I suppose those with stick straight lashes will notice this more than I would, so if you this you, let me know how it works for you.

For $14.00, this is a fabulous buy. The only shade available is Bad, Bad, Black. I bet if this is as good of a seller as I predict, we will see more colors to come.

As I said, Opulash is an exclusive to Nordstrom right now, so that is where you will have to pick it up before it is readily available at all MAC locations on May 27th.

I am anxious to hear more reviews, so please chime in with your thoughts. I honestly think MAC has a HUGE hit on their hands with Opulash. For those that are not MAC mascara fans, this one will have their minds changed.
