Some Extreme Style with VO5.

Have you seen the updated versions of VO5 yet? Their newest products are housed in sleek red packaging - very cool.

I have always thought of VO5 as an older brand, especially when using their hot oil treatments way back when. But the look is updated now, so it is a bit extreme to those who remember them from so long ago.

One of their stand-out products for me has been the VO5 Extreme Style Hairspray, MAX HOLD. This baby holds your hair in place for a long time. It is perfect for extreme styles or a style that needs to stay in place. You can lift your roots and spray where needed or slick back what you need to, and this fast drying spray will keep your locks "locked in" place. It does this all without being sticky, which is a great feature as well.

Make sure you look for the new VO5 Extreme Style line of products at your local drugstore or mass merchandiser's.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised at nt only the cool new packaging, but by the range of products available too.

VO5 has also launched a fun little game widget called The Ultimate Flirting Championship. So click on the game below to have a few minutes of fun. I know you want to! ;)

Anne Hathaway's Smart Makeup by Lancome.

In case you didn't know, I author another blog called CelebLOOK. This blog takes a look at some celebs and what they are wearing. From clothes, shoes, bags, and sometimes even hair and makeup.

I recently featured the beautiful Anne Hathaway at a special Get Smart screening. She looked amazing, and her makeup was beautifully done by celebrity makeup artist Julie Harris.

Here eye makeup is gorgeous - just look at those lashes. Can you believe that they are Anne's real lashes? Wow! I think I need to try some of Lancome's Hypnose Custom Volume Mascara.

Anyway, to see the rest of the makeup products that Julie used on Anne for this special evening, head on over to the CelebLOOK article to read all about it.

Redpoint Airbrush Effects Blushwhip.

Blush is a tricky thing in the Summer. Well, I guess that makeup as a whole can be tricky in the Summer. Especially powder products. I don't want to look too matte or toned and perfect faced. I rather a bit of my faux tan show through, accented with some pretty Summer colors. Peachy bronzed cheeks look so pretty - but not dirty or over kill with the sparkle. Like a glow. This is what I get from this wonderful whipped blush.

Redpoint Airbrush Effects Blushwhip is almost as it says. It is a gel feeling type of cream, that feels almost like a light and fluffy whipped texture when spreading out over cheeks. I love to smoothe this out over my cheeks right after a tinted moisturizer. My cheeks look natural, glowy, with just a hint of color. It is buildable, so if you want a bit more color, add on some bronzer over the Blushwhip, and then blend just a dab or two spread back on the apples of the cheeks. Be careful if you use it this way though, as sometimes a creamy product over a powder does not blend very well. But if you only use a bit of the blushwhip and do it quickly, while using a blending sponge, it can be really beautiful. A beautiful Summer cheek.

I am loving the Glow Peachy-Pink shade, but this blush also comes in Vida Rosy-Pink for more cool complexions. This sells for $28 in it's beautiful jar and metallic red cap over at Redpoint Beauty
