Anne Hathaway looked beautiful at the 2013 Oscars® last night. She may have not been a favorite amongst the fashion people, but I think she looked beautiful in the simple pastel pink Prada gown. Her hair looked stunning - better than I have seen her wear it in a long time; her makeup and nails were on point with the overall look.

MAKEUP
Anne's makeup was done by CHANEL celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee. Here are the details in Kate's words.
Inspiration:
My inspiration for Annie's look came from the color of the beautiful delicate pink dress. Annie looked instantly statuesque the moment she put it on and I felt that this dress was worthy of some classical "Movie Star Beauty." No tricks. just sttention to detail, timeless beauty and glamour.
Skincare:
Great long wearing foundation begins with proper skincare. Annie's skin was given a good dose of hydration with CHANEL Hydra Beauty serum, followed by Laura Mercier Hydrating Foundation Primer.
Foundation:
I wanted to make sure that we still saw the quality and texture of Annie's skin but make sure that the velvety finish would stay put throughout. I used a combination of CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SP 15 to make the skin uniform and add luminosity. Then I used just a little CHANEL Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF15 only where needed. The cheekbones, jaw line, bridge of nose and crest of upper lip were highlighted using MAKE UP FOR EVER Uplight. To complement the highlighting and to carve out the cheekbones, I used Illamasqua Cream Color Pigment in Hollow. Once I had my perfect canvas, I set everything in place with Cle De Peau translucent loose powder.
Blush:
The cheeks were mainly sculpted during the application of the base, highlighter and shading color, but to finish the look and add a little flush I lightly dusted just the apples of her cheeks with CHANEL Powder Blush in Star Dust.
Eye Shadow:
I started by priming the lid with Laura Mercier's Eye Canvas to help keep the shadow in place. The eyes were a beautiful lilac grey shadow blended into a soft almond shape that followed Annie's socket line. I then traced a black line across the outer two thirds on the lash line and tapered it into the gentle tick.
Mascara: I always use waterproof mascara for award ceremonies, especially when my client is a nominee! I curled the lashes and applied on generous coast of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir from root to tip, top and bottom. Waterproof mascara generally dries faster and helps hold in the curl. I custom-made the lashes to fit Annie's eye shape and to finish the look.
Eyebrows:
I took my time sculpting the shape. The brows were combed into shape and intensifies by using Anastasia's Brow Wiz pencil in Brunette, which I then blended using a stiff angled brush. Once I had the shape I wanted, I added a coast of Anastasia's Brow Gel to hold them in shape.
Lips:
Annie has full and perfectly balanced lips. I wanted to avoid matching the lips to the dress so I chose a shade slightly more intense and then blended it down till I got just the right shade. The lip color was CHANEL Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Seduisante with just a dab of concealer mixed in to make it one shade lighter.
I sent her on her way with a powder puff and her lip color.
HAIR
Fekkai stylist Adir Abergel, who has worked closely with Anne this awards season, created another beautiful look for the star. He was inspired by the clean lines of Anne's Prada gown and 1950s glamour.
How to:
1. Begin by applying Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel from roots to ends to maximize volume in short hair
2. Blow dry hair using fingers to create additional lift and bring out hair's natural texture
3. Once hair is completely dry create separation using a dime size amount of Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing & Forming Wax
4. Finish the look by tucking the sides behind your ears and using Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray for the perfect all night hold.
NAILS
Anne's nails were done by manicurist Tom Bachik with a shade from L'Oréal Paris’ new limited-edition Versailles Romance Colour Riche Nail Collection in The Palace Life.
Inspiration:
All eyes were on “Best Supporting Actress” nominee, Anne Hathaway, as she walked the red carpet for the Academy Awards. To complement Anne’s simple, sophisticated look, Tom mirrored the soft pink color of her dress by choosing a similar shade for her nails. A fan of subtle nail art, Anne chose to add a personal touch to her look by having Tom add meaningful initials to her ring fingers.
How to:
Tom went with the pale baby pink shade The Palace Life. On Anne's ring fingers, he used a metallic silver nail pen to delicately paint the initials of Anne's grandmothers (maternal and paternal).
