Get the Look: Claire Danes at the Met Ball 2012.

 

Matin Maulawizada, celebrity makeup artist & Global Artistry Director and Brand Ambassador for Laura Mercier created the look for Claire Danes at the 2012 Met Ball.


The look was sixties inspired.

Lips:

·         Matin created Claire’s neutral matte lips by setting Laura Mercier Crème Lip Colour in Caramel, $24, with Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder, $34.
 
 
Face:
To create Claire’s flawless complexion, Matin first applied Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer in Almond, $50.
 
Laura Mercier Bonne Mine – Healthy Glow for Face & Cheeks Crème Colour Palette was then applied to Claire’s cheeks to add a healthy, natural glow to her skin.
 

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, $28 concealed under-eye circles and minor skin imperfections.
 
Eyes:
Matin created Claire’s smoky eye by applying Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Smoke, $24, followed by two coats of Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara, $24.

The Look:
I was inspired to keep Ashley’s flawless skin beautiful and glowy, and to focus the makeup on her eyes to compliment the Grecian nature of her gorgeous white Donna Karan Atelier gown.” - Julie Harris.
 

Face:
I prepped Ashley’s skin with mark Primed for Perfection Face Primer. Next, I applied a thin coat of mark Min-A-Real Cream-To-Powder Foundation to enhance her skin tone. I tended to any imperfections with mark Conceal For Real Long-Lasting Hook Up Concealer.”
 
Cheeks:
“For a dewy glow, I highlighted Ashley’s brow bones, cheek bones, nose and inner eyes with mark Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes. Next, I swept mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush Custom Color Palette in Chica along her cheekbones and Good Glowing Custom Pick Powder Blush in After Glo on the apples of her cheeks. I set the look with a hint of mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder to the high points of her face to give a hint of warmth.”


Eyes:
“For Ashley’s eyes, I started by smudging mark Keep It Going Longwear Eyeliner & Shadow in Industria close to her lash line to add some definition. Next, I blended mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Minx onto her lid and shaded with Plum Velvet in her crease and outer corner using a small fluff brush to for a soft smudge effect. I curled Ashley’s lashes with mark Make Me Lash Eyelash Curler and finished by applying three coats of mark Lash All You Want High-Volume Mascara in Black to her top lashes and one to her bottom lashes.”
 

Lips:
“I applied mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Baby Luv and added a hint of mark Gloss On Lip Gloss in Sunset Beach for a gorgeous, neutral lip.”
