Get the Look: P!nk at the 2012 American Music Awards.

P!NK gave an amazing perfrmace at the 2012 American Music Awards. Her makeup was created by makeup artist, Kathy Jeung. Of course she wore all COVERGIRL makeup, as she is one of their newest spokespeople.

"P!NK’s beautiful bronze leather and chiffon dress was modern and strong, yet feminine, so we wanted to do a makeup that reflected that, a simple, paired down but glowing, glamorous beauty look. We've been doing a lot of smokey eyed looks lately, so thought we'd mix it up and do a look that felt a bit like old Hollywood glamour, but in a modern way, with focus on the eyes, especially the lash line and lashes.

I applied foundation using a foundation brush and then further blended with a moistened sponge, then set with a light dusting of COVERGIRL Professional Loose Powder powder around the t-zone. For touch-ups, I used COVERGIRL Clean Oil Control Pressed Powder. I first applied a peach shade blush, CG Classic Color Blush in Natural Glow on the apples of the cheek and blended outward and up. Then I applied a shimmery bronzer, CG Cheekers Bronzer in Golden Tan along the upper outer cheekbone area and also on outer temples (upper sides of face near eyes).

For eyebrows, I used a few soft strokes of CG Brow & EyeMakers Pencil in Soft Blonde to define, then brushed into place with CG Profession Natural Lash clear mascara. For the eyes, I first applied CG Eye Enhancers in Champagne all over the lid and on the brow bone. Next I applied a bronze shadow, CG Eye Enhancers in Mink into the crease and blended well. Along the outer corner of the eye, I used a metallic color that wonderfully matched her dress, CG Eye Enhancers in Tapestry Taupe. To get depth along the lash line, CG Liquiline Blast Eeyeliner in Black Fire, drawn with a bit of a cat eye shaped at the outer corners, then smudged. Over that to further define, I used CG LineBlast 24 Hour Eyeliner in Enduring Black, in a thin line along lash line. Along the outer lower lash line, I again used CG Eye Enhancers in Tapestry Taupe to accent to cat eye shape. To add a little more dimension and to further blend, I added CG Cheekers Bronzer in Copper Radiance in the area around the brow bone with a medium fluffy brush. Over curled lashes, I apply 2 coats of CG Clump Crusher by LashBlast Mascara in Very Black on the top lashes. Because of its amazing staying power with no smudges, I used CG LashBlast 24HR Mascara on the lower lashes - 2 coats to really bring out her already long lower lashes.

(For P!NKs performance, I lined the inside upper and lower rims of eyes with  CG Liquiline Blast Eeyeliner in Black Fire and added CG Eye Enhancers in Shimmering Onyx around the outer corners of her eyes, then colored cream shadow and pigment powders all over her face and body)

I prepared the lips with a lip balm while I was doing skin preparation so it had a chance to absorb into lips. I started with CG LipPerfection Lip Liner in Smoky to define the lip edges, and then added CG Outlast All-Day Lipcolor in Faint Hue, let that set, then applied the corresponding clear lip gloss over to add more shine."

Get the Look: Julianna Margulies at the 2012 Emmy Awards.

Julianna Margulies’ looked gorgeous in her floral gown at the 2012 Emmy Awards. Being a L’Oréal Paris Spokesperson, of course her  hair and makeup was created by the brand. Molly Stern did Julianna’s makeup and Adir Abergel did her hair.

Julianna Margulies 2012 Emmy Awards

Makeup:

Molly was inspired by Julianna’s Giambattista Valli couture gown which looked like an impressionist painting. For her look, she wanted to keep with that painterly theme and make her face look like it was done with watercolors vs. makeup.

MOLLY’S STEP-BY-STEP:
-First, I prepped Julianna's skin with By Terry Rose de Balm Serum to give her natural complexion dew and glow.
-Next, I sparingly applied L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Repair Absolute Foundation only where she needed it.
-On her cheeks, I contoured using HOURGLASS Illume Sunset Cream Bronzer Duo and highlighted her bone structure with NARS Sex Appeal Blush.
-For her eyes I based the lid with L’Oréal Paris Infallible Never Fail Lacquer Liner 24H in Slate which is the most perfect gray I've ever used.
-Over top and up into the crease, I dusted a combination of L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eye Shadow in Sultry Smoke mixed with NARS Ecstasy Pressed Shadow.
-Under the eye I smudge the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Never Fail Lacquer Liner 24H in Slate and highlighted the under inner eye with a spot of gold using L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eye Shadow in Amber Rush.
-Lastly, I topped off her lashes with L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Power Volume 24H Mascara in Black.
-On her lips to keep with the wash of color, I pressed into her pout L’Oréal Paris Colour Caresse by Colour Riche Luminous Lipcolour in Merino Mauve to give them an earthy pinky/peach hue.

Hair:

Adir was inspired by the simple lines of the dress and wanted to mimic it with the hair. He went for a shiny, healthy texture that reflected light and had strong lines to it. A deep side part swept back into a classic chignon placed right in the middle of the head gave the illusion of a longer neck.

ADIR’S STEP-BY-STEP:
-First, I started out by having the hair freshly washed with L’Oréal Paris EverCréme Intense Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner.  This is an important step to get as much shine and hydration to the hair.
-I applied L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Smooth & Shine Serum from roots to ends to seal the cuticle and to help get a smooth finish.
-I followed the arch of the eyebrow to place my deep side parting.
-I then took a round brush and blow dried the hair until it was completely dry.
-Once it was completely smooth and dry, I applied L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Smooth & Shine Crème to the ends and went over them with a flat iron to flatten the cuticle and create as much shine as possible.
-Before pulling the hair into a ponytail, placed right in the middle of the head, I applied some Frederic Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream.  This helped me tame any flyaways and created extra shine.
-To finish the look, I wrapped the ponytail  around its base into a bun making sure it wasn't too tight, pinned it in place and had a few of the ends showing.  This gave it a little softness I was looking for.
-For all night hold, I finished with L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray.

Get the Look: Sofia Vergara at the 2012 Emmy Awards.

Sofia Vergara looked like a bombshell at last nights 2012 Emmy Awards. Her sexy makeup look was created by Kayleen McAdams for COVERGIRL, and her hair was done by Jen Atkin, CLEAR SCALP & HAIR THERAPY Celebrity Stylist.

Sofia Vergara 2012 Emmy Awards

Makeup:
Kayleen McAdams said, “The inspiration for Sofia’s look was chocolate and caramel! Chocolatey brown eyes, caramel colored lips. With a dress like hers, I wanted her makeup to look delicious and sexy.

I started by applying NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Nutmeg #360 all over the face and blended into the neck.  I then used TruConceal #4 under the eyes, around the nose and on any spots where needed.  I finished with a light dusting of Clean Pressed Powder in Soft Honey and Cheekers Blush in Sierra Sands to set the base.

On the eyes, I started by applying Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Brown Smolder all over the lid and followed that with the Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in Espresso just at the root of the lashes.  I also used Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in Espresso on the bottom lashes and set that liner with Queen Collection 1-Kit Shadow in Copper Penny.  I applied three coats of LashBlast Volume Mascara on both the top and bottom lashes to lengthen and add volume.

Sofia and I wanted to do something different on her lips, so we chose a shade that she never used before – and we loved the change. I tried tons of different lipsticks on my arm! We looked them all over and tried three different shades before finding the perfect one. I wanted the lip to look like caramel, so I added a little gloss. I filled in Sofia’s lips with LipPerfection Lip Color in Captivate, and then went back over the edge of the lips with LipPerfection Lip Liner in Smoky to fill them out and keep her lipstick in place. I topped it all off with Queen Collection Lip Gloss in Sugar and Spice just in the center of the lips.

To keep Sofia’s look fresh all night, I gave her powder, lipstick, lip liner and gloss to keep in her purse. Sofia can’t live without LashBlast Volume Mascara, so I also keep my kit well stocked with extras.”
Hair:
Jen Atkin went for a glamorous look inspired by the texture of her Zuhair Murad dress. "I wanted the hair to flow with the dress so we chose a bombshell wavy look. Sofia is a sexy woman who can work a full volume look so we did a twist on a 60s style and made it modern by keeping it long with loose sexy waves and volume at the crown," said Atkin.

1. Always start with the right foundation. Begin by washing with Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Volumizing Root Boost Shampoo and Conditioner to nourish the scalp and hair while also getting the volume and body from root to tip necessary to carry this style.

2. Use a volumizing mousse at the crown of the hair. Use a round brush to create volume and set the hair with velvet rollers.

3. Next, spray a texturizing spray throughout the rest of the hair and blowdry using a medium round brush for volume.

4. Once hair is dry, spritz an anti-humidity spray all over and brush through.

5. Use an 1 1/4" curling iron to set the hair. Wrap big sections of hair and curl up and away from the face.

6. Finally, comb the waves through with your fingers. Tease a little at the crown and finish off the look with a light spray of hairspray. If needed add a spray gloss to the ends.
