Get the Look: Isla Fischer at the 2011 MET Ball.

Isla Fischer looked gorgeous at the Met Ball where she had her makeup done by Celebrity Makeup Artist Fiona Stiles.

Isla wore a sapphire blue sequined strapless dress that looked incredible with her gorgeous red hair. We kept her skin a light golden color and focused on smoky grey eyes that would accent, not compete, with the dress. The lips and cheeks were warm neutral tones that looked radiant and effortless, like Isla herself.

I applied COVEGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation using a flat synthetic foundation brush and blended it down to a thin layer with a damp sponge. I prefer using a loose powder to set foundation, so I used the COVERGIRL Professional Loose Powder in Translucent Medium. Using the COVERGIRL Instant Cheekbones in Peach Perfection, I used a little as contour, then the peachiest color as blush and then brushed on a touch of bronzer for warmth and radiance. Using a few different products subtly can really add dimension to the face. The bronze over the peach just makes it feel more like the color is radiating from within her.

On her eyes, I swiped the Silver end of COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Silver Sky over the eye and blended it up towards the brows, then smudged a bit under her lower lashes. Then I took the COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-kit in Shimmering Onyx and smudged it into the lash line on the top, and the outer corners of the lower lashes. I smudged out the color and added a bit more of the Silver Sky and smudged it towards the inner corner of the eye. Two coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion on the top and bottom gave her big flirty eyes.

I added a touch of COVERGIRL Lip Perfection lipcolor in Kiss on her lips and she was out the door!

Get the Look: Jessica Chastain at the 2011 MET Ball.

Jessica Chastain attended the the Met Ball in New York City last night. She had her makeup look done by Celebrity Makeup Artist Jake Bailey.

Jessica wore a tight sexy black dress by Pucci, which I couldn't envision with anything else but the always-chic smoky eye and nude lip.

I started with a tiny bit of moisturizer called "skin food" by Weleda. I then buffed a light coat of COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation all over her face to add a bit of perfecting polish to Jessica's already beautiful skin.

I then lined the entire inner rim of her eyes with COVERGIRL LiquilineBlast in Black Fire and worked it into the top and bottom lash lines for extra definition. This liner has a super soft blendable texture, which I smudged upward, outward and downward using a soft cone tipped eyeshadow brush to achieve the smoky effect. I then set the smoky liner with a little bit of Guerlains's les violettes loose powder. I applied individual lashes and coated them with COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion Mascara...a rich black formula that added tons of volume as well as length. I only needed one coat.

I then warmed up her complexion by applying a cream bronzer to the apples of her cheeks and hairline.

I gave her a light dusting of the same Guerlain powder and accentuated her cheekbones using a highlighter from Kevyn Aucoin.

I finished the look with a tawny coral nude lip color, COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in Delish.

Get the Look: Sophia Vergara at the 2011 MET Ball.

Sofia Vergara looked beautiful, as usual, at the Met Ball last night.  Her makeup was done by Celebrity Makeup Artist Kayleen McAdams.

Sofia Vergara wore a Carolina Herrera and it was all in the eyes for this beauty look!

For skin I wanted her to have a silky, light look; I used COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Nutmeg and set that with COVERGIRL Clean Pressed Powder in Warm Beige and used COVERGIRL Cheekers Blush in Plumberry Glow. This gave her a warm look with soft cheeks.

We wanted to make the focus of this look the eye so we went with a strong black liner but as a subtle cat eye rather than a harsh line.

In order to give the liner staying power, I like to layer different products.  I started by lining the eye into a cat eye shape with COVERGIRL LiquilineBlast Eyeliner in Black Fire and then went over that same line with COVERGIRL LineExact Liquid Liner  in Very Black.

I then blended dark chocolate brown eyeshadow starting from the outer corners and blending in towards the center.

Along the bottom lash line I used the COVERGIRL LiquilineBlast Eyeliner in Brown Blaze and blended the liner with a black shadow to set it.

I then used two coats of the COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion Mascara in Very Black to thicken the lashes and finish her look.

For her hair, Sophia was styled by Hair Stylist Gio Campora.

Beauty Inspiration:

“For Sofia's hair, I wanted to add volume and texture for a natural yet elegant look.”

“I started by using Phyto Volumizing Spray at the base of the roots and then added some Fekkai Mousse for extra volume and thickness throughout her hair. I then used a round brush and a blow dryer in order to give her hair even more volume. I took small sections and pulled each one upwards with the round brush while blowing it dry to give the roots a lift. Once her hair was dry and volumized, I used a teasing comb at the roots in order to help maintain the volume and thickness. To add texture, I used a curling iron for soft, light curls to add natural looking waves. Lastly, I used Elnett hairspray to finish off the look.”
