Lancôme Loves Lips this Fall.
/I told you how I was obsessed with Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge Définition lipcolor on Tuesday, but that was just one of the new lip launches from Lancôme this fall. The brand is killing it with their lippie launches as of late. While I'm normally a nude lip girl, I have been experimenting with more color thanks to all of the beautiful options and I am really liking what I am seeing.
First, I have to show you the Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge Définition lipcolors ($30.50) that I have been wearing.
I figured if I was going to go as far from neutral, then why not go red? I have Le Vermillon which is a perfect creamy matte bright orange red shade and Le Carmin which is a great creamy matte neutral red shade.
As a reminder, L'Absolu Rouge Définition is a highly pigmented lipcolor with a creamy matte finish that leaves lips drenched in really vibrant color. They wear beautifully on the lips — they actually feel quite hydrating for being described as matte. The tip of the lipstick is really pointed so it can be used almost as a liner and to define the lips.
Also new is Lancôme Color Design Matte Lip Color ($22.50) with five new shades. This one is also surprisingly really comfortable to wear as it's super long-wearing and leaves lips with a ton of color. I have three shades, Seal the Deal which is a matte muted pink, Afraid Not which is a matte dark wine shade and Racy which is matte hot pink. I don't think I can express how pretty lips look while wearing; lines are filled in, which I find important when wearing matte lipstick, and the color is very true. Seal the Deal is my favorite of what I have, but I want to pick up Inconspicuous too, which looks to be a pretty peachy/pink nude shade.
Finally, my favorite new Lancôme lip launch out of the bunch is L'Absolu Velours ($30). Think of this as a matte lipgloss though it's really a liquid lipcolor; the color payoff is unreal! This liquid lipstick applies like a lipgloss with it's pointed flocked applicator wand and leaves lips with such intense color (I really can't say that enough) that feels AND looks so smooth on the lips. It has a bit of a glossy finish to it; it's not too matte. I think the matte here is more-so in the way that the color fills in and drenches the lips in such a full-on precise way. This one is also incredibly comfortable to wear. There are nine shades in all. I have Velours D'Etincelle which is a creamy bright red and Velours De Pourpre which is a creamy bright pink.
All of the new Lancôme lipcolors are available at lancome-usa.com, Sephora as well as Lancôme counters in your favorite department stores like Bloomingdales, Macy's and Nordstrom.
