This holiday season is already a busy one for me. Have you ever found yourself running around all day, maybe holiday shopping, and then your friends call to go out and catch up at night? Whether I am meeting friends for a quick bite or some cocktails during the holiday season, I want to look my best. My makeup bag is usually stocked with a five-minute makeup look, but my hair can be another story. This year I have already planned ahead; I've created a quick and easy last-second holiday hair look that works for me. This hair look is easy to recreate for anyone with medium to long hair.

Quick + Easy Last-Second Holiday Hair Look

This last-second holiday hair look is effortless and really doesn't take that much time when you are prepared with the right products on hand. The key is making sure your hair is overall healthy by using the right shampoo and conditioner from the start. My current combo is TRESemmé® Keratin Smooth Color Shampoo and Suave Professionals® Honey Infusion Conditioner. TRESemmé® Keratin Smooth Color Shampoo does a good job at controlling frizz while keeping all styles smooth. The Honey Infusion Conditioner deeply conditions my hair to help strengthen strands; I love the way it makes my hair smell, too.

For the hairstyle itself, you are going to need two very important styling products: Dove Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo and TRESemmé® TRES TWO Extra Hold Hair Spray.

Dove Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo will not only absorb oil and refresh hair to pull off a last-second hair look, but the dry shampoo adds texture and a ton of volume when directed at the roots. I use this often in between washes and when styling my hair.

TRESemmé® TRES TWO Extra Hold Hair Spray is my go-to! This hairspray helps to achieve maximum hold with extra flyaway control which is most definitely needed for a pulled back style that incorporates a braid. I like that it never leaves hair stiff or sticky, it just adds flexible hold.

TIPS

For my last-second holiday hair look, I took my everyday ponytail to a more structured, embellished ponytail that I accented with a side braid, curled the ends and added some sparkly bobby pins.

I took my hair out of my ponytail and refreshed it with Dove Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo, then brushed it through. I took the front of my hair and twisted it into a braid down one side. I normally part my hair down one side, so I only braid on that side. Alternatively, you can braid both sides.

Next, I gathered my hair together into a tight ponytail in the center of the back of my head and secured. As soon as I secured the ponytail, I sprayed the front and sides of my hair with the trusted TRESemmé® TRES TWO Extra Hold Hair Spray.

Next, I took a large 1 1/4" curling iron and curled the ends of my ponytail into different directions which left my hair ends with big loose curls. I finger combed these curls into place and lightly sprayed them with TRES TWO Extra Hold Hair Spray.

Finally, I took two embellished bobby pins and placed them into my braid to give my hair a little extra holiday sparkle.

Overall, my last-second holiday hair look was really quick and easy; it took me about 10 minutes to complete this hairstyle.

The best thing about all of the hair products that I used in this look is that they are easily found in my local CVS hair care section.
