Summer 2013: MAC Temperature Rising Collection.

Ever since I gave you a sneak peek of the MAC Temperature Rising Collection for summer, I could not wait to get my hands on some of the products. The MAC summer collection products are always a favorite of mine and this years collection did not disappoint me.

My favorite pieces include the eye shadows for sure. A beautiful eye look is key to any makeup, even in the summer, though I prefer not to ever be as dramatic with summer eye makeup. These eye shadow quads are both equally amazing and spot on for summer.

Bare My Soul is beautiful for anyone who wants a naturally bronzed summer look. It is what you expect for a summer makeup collection shadow: gold, bronze and beautiful green with copper along with a bronzed chocolate brown.

Temperature Rising is definitely more unexpected with tones of mauve violet and peach. With the sexy shimmer and beautiful pigments, overall, it is also perfect for a summer look, especially for those with lighter complexions.

Of course, the star products are the bronzers. This collection features not only two new Bronzing Powders, but there are also two new Pro Longwear Bronzing Powders. These are essential in the summer, especially when I want my bronzer to last all day, through the heat and humidity.

The Hot Nights Powder Blush offers a bright pop of berry-pink to the cheeks.

For lips, there are both four new Lipsticks and 4 new Lipglass shades. I have Caliente Lipstick and Sheer Seduction Lipglass.

I have two of the Powerchrome Eye Pencils. I have Rich Glance, which is perfect for smudging under my eye to soften a harsh liner. It is also gorgeous under the brow bone. The other Powerchrome Eye Pencil I have is Polished Jet, which is a pearly black.

Both of the Nail Lacquers are, as the name of one, scorching haute. I can wear both and will be on my tips and toes all summer. I imagine wearing Scorching Haute, the super glitter magenta on my nails with Tropical, the super glitter bronze, on my accent nail.

To add a deeper golden bronze to my summer glow, there is Man Rays Bronzing Oil. This is perfect on my legs, shoulders and décolletage.

I also have Golden Elixir Strobe Liquid. This product has me stumped. I know it is to be used on the face or mixed with moisturizer, but honestly, it is too golden and glowy for me. I suppose it could be mixed with body lotion for my legs. I think it would be especially beautiful on those with really pale complexions to add a bit of a glow.

A final though about the collection, and it involves the stunning packaging. The packaging of the MAC Summer collection products was such a pleasant surprise. The cases are a beautiful bronzed brown, that feature a beautiful, rich velvet feel. It was not what I was expecting, honestly. The images do not do the packaging justice. You really need to see it in person and touch it to appreciate its beauty.

The complete collection rundown can be found in the MAC Temperature Rising for Summer 2013 post.
