Summer 2018: Erdem for NARS Strange Flowers Collection.

We finally broke the 70-degree mark here in Massachusetts, so I thought it fitting that we start talking about summer. First up for summer 2018 is the most beautiful Erdem for NARS Strange Flowers Collection.
When I heard that NARS was going to collaborate with longtime fashion design partner Erdem Moralioglu once again (they've been partnering together since 2013), I could only imagine how beautiful the collection would be. Never in my imagination would I think that the designer would be able to bring his nostalgic romance and soft, feminine aesthetic to beauty like he did with this limited-edition collection. The prints and packaging are only the beginning. Erdem for NARS Strange Flowers Collection is all about romance and I am so into it.
The makeup collection features shades that may seem bold, but they are centered in romance, in shades of pinks and purples; they are somewhat daring and perfect for summer.
The entire collection is made up of 13 pieces, all of which are must-haves, especially for NARS fans. The Erdem for NARS Strange Flowers Collection includes:
Lipstick - $28
There are six new shades in a creamy, smooth formula. The shades range from bare to bold in sheer to intense.
Bloodflower - bright cherry red
Voodoo Lily - sheer muted lavender
Moon Orchid - sheer light pink
Wild Flower - deep plum purple
Larkspur - sheer orchid
Carnal Carnation - sheer raspberry red
Blush - $30
Featuring a silky-soft pearlescent finish that departs sheer, yet buildable color, the velvety formula gleams in two new shades.
Loves Me - strawberry pink with golden shimmer
Loves Me Not - soft lavender pink
Multi-Use Highlighting Pencil - $29
The new, ultra-smooth formula provides for effortless blending and on-the-go radiance for eyes and cheeks. The pencil itself features an adjustable bottom component that advances and retracts so you can always have the amount you want on hand; it never needs sharpening.
White Phox - opalescent lavender
Eyeshadow Palettes - $49
Two six-well palettes of highly pigmented, velvety-matte shades deliver light-reflecting color. The formula can be applied sheer or layered for more dramatic effects.
Fleur Fatale Eyeshadow Palette

Thistle - metallic mink
Flourish - shimmering steel blue

The new innovative palette includes a creamy primer and precision-tip lip brush to paint lips with four delicate shades of petal pinks, rose reds, and poisonous purples. The matte and metallic powders can be worn alone or layered on lips—with or without balm—for a range of unexpected looks and effects.
Poison Rose Lip Powder Palette + Travel Lip Brush
Lip Priming Balm - nude
Zira - shimmering rose gold
Calypso - matte rose
Damask - matte fuchsia
Ottoman - matte scarlet
Mattifying Blotting Paper - $30
Fresh-plucked blotting papers instantly soften and mattify. Perfect for shine control in the summer months.
I am totally intrigued by the soft-touch packaging with beautiful prints and the brand new Lip Powder Palette. Don't make me pick favorite pieces, because this entire collection is covetable.
If you are only going to pick up one piece, then it should be the Lip Powder Palette because that is a new product and formula, but the White Phox Highlighting Pencil will get a lot of use this summer.
The Lipstick shades are so creamy and I know that I will be using Moon Orchid and Voodoo Lily often.
Both Blush shades are just so perfect on tanned or pale skin.
Out of the eye palettes, I do prefer the Fleur Fatale Palette, though greens are having a moment. if you can pull off greens and like color, the Night Garden Palette is one to try.
Look for the Erdem for NARS Strange Flowers Collection at NARS boutiques and narscosmetics.com. It will be available at Sephora beginning April 30th.
