10 Must Have MAC Prep + Prime Products

I've been a longtime user of MAC Prep + Prime Fix+. This original makeup hydrating mist is my favorite makeup prepping spray and I use it in quite a few different ways. You can read how I use MAC Prep + Prime FIX+ in my post here, but now I want to explore more of the MAC Prep + Prime collection of products because these are must-have products to keep on your beauty shelf.

Besides using the original Prep + Prime Fix +, here are the other products from the collection that I have been using and highly recommend.

1. Prep + Prime Fix+ Matte
   This is very similar to the original except that this lightweight spray comes is mattifying to control the look of shine and oil. It sprays on evenly and lightly and feels very refreshing as it mists onto the skin.

2. Prep + Prime Fix+ Shimmer
   Once only a limited edition, this popular spray is now permanent. I am really obsessed with this shimmery fix+ formula in the summer months as I like to spray it over my entire chest and décolletage. This one is infused with pearlescent particles for your ultimate glow. It comes in two shades - Pink lite, with pink pearls, and Gold Lite, with gold pearls.

3. Prep + Prime Skin
   Not necessarily skincare, but more of a lightweight primer lotion, this is really nice to apply prior to putting on makeup. This is a lightweight gel lotion that evens out skin redness and tone while adding a light radiance to the skin.

4. Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone
   I think of this as a pore refiner or refinisher, as it does a great job at blurring pores as it is smoothed on over the skin. It visibly conceals pores while helping to control the look of oil and shine.

5. Prep + Prime Pore Refiner Stick
   Similar to the Skin Refined Zone product above, this is an oil-absorbing primer that blurs the appearance of pores and fine lines for a smooth matte finish. What’s great about this stick is that it can be used on the go and over makeup throughout the day.

6. Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base
   Eyeshadow primer is a must to not only prolong the look of eye makeup, but it keeps shadow from settling into creases and helps it stay vibrant and fresh-looking throughout the day.

7. Prep + Prime Lip
   Just as you need to use an eyeshadow primer each time you use eyeshadow, you need to use a color-free lipstick base to smooth, refine and lock in lip color for the day. I love that this adds a touch of moisture to the lips to keep them hydrated, too.

8. Prep + Prime Highlighter
   So, this doesn’t really fit into the primer category but I keep it on the list as it falls into the same category and it’s a must-have. I really love this product for finishing and highlighting. It comes in four shades from soft yellow to light pink.

9. Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
   The perfect finishing touch to any makeup look, this silky finishing powder provides an invisible way to set makeup.

10. Prep + Prime Essential Oils Stick
    This is another on-the-go stick that can be used over or under makeup, but this one is perfect for giving skin that instant boost of moisturization anywhere it needs it.
