4 Sunscreen Saviors.
/Just because the end of the summer is upon us, it is no excuse to put the suncreen away. It's a fact that you need to wear sunscreen each and everyday of the year. You need to reapply your sunscreen if you are spending a lot of time outdoors, doing any kind of activity outside where sunscreen could be wearing off or if you are in the water, of course. I normally have a pretty regular rotation of sunscreen bit this year was different as a few new sunscreen launched over the summer and these new sunscreens are so innovative that they are not only offering sun protection, but they are doing so in such a way to make them stand out from the norm. These are my sunscreen saviors.
Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen SPF 35 - $68
This everyday sunscreen is so silky soft and lightweight and perfect for everyday use before putting on makeup. It literally glides on and feels like nothing on the skin except that it tightens the skin and blurs it so it acts as a wonderful pore filler and primer. It was formulated with green tea and rice extract amongst other ingredients that make this a really luxurious sunscreen that I am using as my last step in my skin care routine.
ZO Skin Health Oclipse® Smart Tone Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 50 - $70
I love this sunscreen for when I am outdoors at the beach or pool. It actually contains a highly advanced Smart Tone technology that matches any skin tone so after it is applied, it matches your skin and gives a little bit of color to the skin so it evens out the skin. I like it because I'm not one to wear a full face of makeup to the beach and this offers a nice amount of protection and evens out my skin so I can slap on some mascara and lip balm with SPF and be good to go. This is also formulated with a 12-hour time release antioxidant complex that helps to guard against photo-damage in the long run and we all could use that.
Moroccanoil Sun Lotion SPF 50 - $32
For my body, I have been depending on this new sunscreen from Moroccanoil. It's not only perfect for offering high sunscreen protection (it comes in SPF 30 as well), it is formulated with nourishing ingredients to hydrate my skin while wearing. Argan oil is antioxidant rich so my skin reaps the benefits plus Vitamin E helps lock in moisture. I really like that this one is super lightweight and melts into my skin as soon as I smooth it on.
Vita Liberata's SPF 50 Passionflower & Argan Dry Oil - $45
When I'm at the beach or pool, I have been using this dry oil. It is also enriched with Argan oil so my skin is nourished while wearing, but this one leaves skin with a bit of a sheen while offering broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. This dry oil is not greasy and my skin is loving it.
