What’s sleek, chic, and filled with sheer, moisturizing color? I’m talking about Borghese Lip Treatment Moisturizer SPF 15 ($20), beauties. Although this lovely little lip treatment smells exactly like my mother’s deep berry lipstick when I was a little girl, this is definitely not my mother’s lipstick.

Described as “vitamins for your lips”, this lip treatment is disguised as a typical lipstick but offers so much more. The sleek black tube houses a moisturizing treatment core that is surrounded by gorgeous sheer color. Even better, this lip treatment has SPF 15. Remember: even lips need sun protection! 

The shade I have been using is 04 Flamingo Gold. On me, it’s almost the perfect shimmer version of “my lips but better”. I love nearly everything about it! My only minor complaint is the scent. While I love the nostalgic factor, I think it could use an update. That said, let me rave about all goodness that Borghese packed into this little black tube!

First, I love the moisturizing balm core. I’m a bit of a lip balm addict, but I like color, too. This gives me the best of both worlds. In fact, if Borghese marketed the balm core itself, I’d be tempted to give it a whirl! Also, I love that this lip treatment applies smooth and evenly every time. I don’t need to whip out my compact mirror every time I apply in fear of streaky color. I can’t wait to try the other shades.
