If you are constantly searching the drugstore for the best foundation, look no further than this new one from COVERGIRL & Olay. Named COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation, this does as much as the name says and more.

Born from the anti-aging line of Simply Ageless, the newest COVERGIRL + Olay creation is another breed of makeup meets skincare, this time in liquid form. Skin looks perfect while wearing and gets better while wearing too. The anti-aging foundation combines the newest advancements in both beauty and skincare. It is formulated to cover fine lines, discolorations and wrinkles, while helping to improve skin tone overtime.

I was very impressed with this foundation. Not only does it come in a full spectrum of 14 shades, matching you skintone is easy as the shades really seem to blend into skin and be a bit forgiving. I can actually wear three shades and they are all so nice that I still cannot tell you which one is perfect. My NC30 skin is compatible with 125 Buff Beige, 132 Nude Beige and 142 Medium Beige. There is another shade in between those (140 Natural Beige), but it seemed a bit too pink on my skin. See below for the complete rundown of shades.

My skin seemed to drink in the formula, which is great to reap the skincare benefit, but I was a bit disappointed at wear time. At the end of the day, my makeup had faded. That is nothing that a little primer can't fix, and I love using Tone Rehab over my new favorite Smashbox Photofinish Hydrating Foundation Primer (review coming soon). This foundation lasted all day and looked just as beautiful at the end of the day as when I first put it on. I like to use The Beautyblender Sponge to apply for medium coverage, but it is nice applied with fingertips for a more full coverage as well.

So, why does the foundation look so nice and work so well on the skin? First, soft focus sphere technology optically blurs visible contrast edges and smoothes out rough surfaces, while working with light to create a radiant, soft focus effect so skin seems lit from within. The Olay serum is at the heart of the foundation making for the great skin care benefits. The serum contains a moisturization package featuring known skin conditioning ingredients, Glycerine, Niacinamide, N-acetyl Glucosamine, that effectively penetrate the skin’s outer surface layers for improved skintone over time and an anti-oxidant package, Vitamin E, Allantoin, Panthenol, and Green Tea to help protect skin from harmful free radicals at the surface. Talk about a double-duty product.
