When it comes to makeup, I am most obsessed with lip products. If I had to be specific, I would say that lipgloss is my favorite. I am pretty sure that I own more lipgloss than any other makeup product — I must own hundreds of them. For me to be wowed by a new lipgloss, then you know it has to be special. NARS Velvet Lip Glide is really special; it was hard not to be immediately obsessed with this new hybrid lip color.

NARS Velvet Lip Glide simply feels fabulous on the lips. It is formulated NARS’ Oil Infusion Complex that combines the fluid feel of a gloss with the coverage of a lipstick. It glides on, thanks to the Oil Infusion Complex and the doe foot applicator which is new for NARS. The shades are pigmented and feel almost mousse-like as they glide onto lips. I am in love with how they feel on the lips! The finish is not entirely glossy but more of a satin finish. NARS calls it a semi-matte finish, but I don't consider anything about this to be matte.

There are 12 shades in the Velvet Lip Glide lineup for now and I, for one, am hoping that changes soon because these are what lips demand.
