Finding a Solution for Dry Skin with Dove DermaSeries.

I have had dry skin for as long as I can remember. I am talking from my scalp to my toes. The cold weather and transition to warmer weather have me taking a long hard look at my skin. Just looking at my arms and legs and how overly dry my skin is, is a wake-up call of sorts. It makes me realize just how bad my dry skin is.

I need to find a long-term solution for my dry skin. There is a new launch of skin care at Target, and I'm excited to see how this new lineup works for me. It's from Dove, a brand that I think we've all grown to know and trust. It's called Dove DermaSeries, and these products are superior to other mass products in the same category. Dove DermaSeries is skincare for the body, and I like the sound of that. 

I just started testing a few products from the Dove DermaSeries line, and I'm going to continue to use them to see how they work for me long-term. As I said, I need to find a solution for my overly dry skin. 

After only using the Dove DermaSeries products for about a week or so, I am impressed. 

Here is what I have been testing and will continue to try-out for the next few months. 

Dove DermaSeries Dry Skin Relief Gentle Cleansing Body Wash - This is a soap-free cream body wash that is unscented. It is good for dry skin or those that have eczema. This body wash is made up of a blend of skin-natural lipids, sunflower oil and mild cleansing actives which gives relief to dry, itchy skin. 

Dove DermaSeries Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Body Lotion - This body lotion was created for clinically dry skin. It was tested and proven to replenish extremely dry skin, restoring skin's natural protective barrier over time. It is made up of a blend of AminoSilk Complex, patented PPAR technology, and some of Dove's most powerful moisturizers. It is fragrance-free, immediately soothing and hydrating. 

Dove DermaSeries Dry Skin Relief Expert Repairing Balm - For the areas of the body that feel like sandpaper (knees, elbows, heels), this skin balm uses a unique petroleum jelly blend that smooths and repairs these rough spots. It is the perfect treatment for extremely dry skin with a fast absorbing formula that glides on and sinks in to make skin look and feel better immediately.

Dove DermaSeries Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Hand Cream - This hand cream brings deep hydration to dry, cracked hands and soothes skin immediately. Using a unique blend of AminoSilk Complex and powerful moisturizers, this is one of the best hand creams for dry hands from Dove. This hand cream also uses Dove's patented PPAR technology to help rebuild the skin barrier and restore moisture from within.

I have kept the Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Hand Cream on my desk like I do most hand creams. If you could see my handbag and desk drawer, you would realize what poor shape my hands are in. 

Anyway, I thought I would be applying the Dry Skin Relief Hand Cream multiple times a day, but that is not the case. This new hand cream does the job of nourishing my dry hands quickly. I apply it before bed and after I get up in the morning. I think I use it once or twice more throughout the day, but not the typical dozen or more times that I usually have to apply hand cream. It is working!

Another Dove DermaSeries product that I can tell is working well already is the Dry Skin Relief Gentle Cleansing Body Wash. I usually feel like I have to immediately apply loads and loads of body lotion as soon as step foot out of the shower. Since I started using the Dry Skin Relief Body Wash, I don't have that ordinarily dry, tight feeling when I get out of the shower; I can dry off and go about my business. I almost forget to apply Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Body Lotion because my skin is feeling so hydrated right out of the shower.

I am hoping that by using these Dove DermaSeries products, my skin will continue to get better and better so that I do not have to deal with dry, flaky itchy skin anymore.
