MAC Brooke Shields Collection.

When I saw that MAC Cosmetics was creating a collection with Brooke Shields I was MORE than I excited. I men, Brooke Shields is an icon in my mind. The child model turned actress is a model from *my* time. We are of similar age and I have just always identified with her. Her look has been timeless, just as is the MAC Brooke Shields collaboration.

From the packaging to the products themselves, everything about the collection is beautiful. I have spent a lot of time trying to get the 15 pan Gravitas palette in a selection of cool toned shades. How gorgeous does it look? I have not lucked out as of yet, but I won't give up! I really want it. It's obviously the star of the collection.

I really like the Trusted Instinct eye palette that I received, and I just ordered the Mortal palette as well; that one is even more me! The Veluxe Pearlfusion formula is super soft and silky and leaves a pearly finish that leaves enough shine to the eye but not too much where I am uncomfortable wearing it. The Scone bronzing powder is a very wearable shade. I would say that this is a good color for light to medium complexions. I also really like the Dignity Nail Lacquer. It is such a beautiful, soft creamy coral shade that is perfect for everyday. I can do without the rest of the shades in the collection. As usual, I like the lighter, more neutral colors that can be built upon for definition.
