The fall season will officially be here this week. As I prepare to change up my clothes and start to layer on the sweaters and heavier items, I change up the makeup in my makeup bag this time of year as well. I put away things like a tinted moisturizer, bronzer and nude lipgloss and stock it with foundation, a bronze eye palette, and the best bold and berry lip shades and more. There are, of course, essentials that I need for fall.

1. Foundation

I tend to wear foundation in the cool weather months, beginning in the fall. I don't use self-tanner in autumn and winter, so I need more coverage, too. I like bareMinerals foundation because they are very long wearing and give me the coverage I demand.

2. Blush

In the summer, it's all about bronzer and peach or golden shades for cheeks; for fall and winter, I like to use rose shades on the cheeks. A rose blush works on all skin tones (you can go light or dark) and balances out both a nude and smokey eye look

3. Eye Palette

I always buy a few eye palettes for each new season. I usually look to MAC Cosmetics for an eye palette, as they have so many new seasonal collections that have a lot of great products to choose from. I like the MAC x 9 palette; Morphe also makes nice eye palettes that have a variety of shades in them. I like the Copper Spice Eyeshadow Palette for the fall.

4. Black Eyeliner

Black eyeliner is a staple in my makeup bag for fall, and it is an essential part of my makeup look this time of year. I can't think of a better black eyeliner than Mac Kohl Power Eye Pencil.

5. Volumizing Mascara

I like to wear a (bronze) smokey eye in the fall and the icing on the cake, so to speak, are big, bold lashes. To get big, bold lashes, a great mascara is necessary, of course. I've been a longtime fan of Lancome Mascaras because this brand has always given my lashes drama. eBay seems to have every Lancôme mascara ever made for sale, including the new Monsieur Big.

6. Lipstick

A fall makeup look is not complete without a bold or berry lipstick. I usually shy away from a bold lip, but I love a berry lip look, especially as the weather turns cooler. Urban Decay has a lot of great bold and berry lipstick shades that it is tough to pick out just one.

7. Makeup Brushes

I always take stock of my makeup brushes as the season's change. I wish that my makeup brushes would last forever, but with a lot of use and a lot of washing, my brushes just don't hold up as well as I'd like them too. I like to replace my makeup brushes at least once a year, and I am doing it this fall as I noticed thousands of makeup brush sets on eBay. I settled on the beautiful Morphe Brush Set (pictured below) that has been sold out for a long time.
