Philosophy Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer Review & Photos.

A few weeks ago, I told you how Philosophy was launching the brand new Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer. Well, I ordered it and I've used it for almost a week now so I wanted to share my initial thoughts on this new moisturizer.

Just to update, Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer is the latest product in Philosophy's line of Purity Made Simple products.

I have been a LONG TIME user of Purity Made Simple Cleanser and it is my everyday cleanser of choice.  I also use the Deep Clean Mask often. I have tried the Clay Mask, Foaming Cleanser (no longer available) and Cleansing Oil

Basically, Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer is a lightweight daily moisturizer that is good for all skin types.

This new moisturizer feels lightweight as it pumps out of the bottle, yet it has enough weight as it smooths onto skin as to not immediately disappear into the skin as it absorbs. It does absorb pretty quickly, though it does leave skin feeling hydrated and gives my skin a somewhat dewy finish.

The formula of Purity Made Simple Moisturizer is definitely not simple and that is a good thing; it is made with philosophy’s exclusive blend of vitamins C and E, a green tea antioxidant complex to protect skin while wearing, sustainably-sourced meadowfoam seed oil plus cold-pressed chia seed oil.

As I said, my skin definitely feels hydrated as soon as I smooth it on. The product claims to keep skin hydrated for up to 24 hours. I think the key is "up to" and this is very dependant upon your skin type.

My skin is extremely dry, and my face feels like it needs moisture a few hours after I apply Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer. My neck feels plenty hydrated, but not my face. I do feel like I use enough product, five or six pumps (not much product comes out of the pump), I just think it is not an overly hydrating product for those of us with overly dry skin.

If you have normal, combination or oily skin, this may be a really nice moisturizer for you. I think I will try this again in the summertime when my skin is not so parched from the dry, indoor heat.

Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer is available at Sephora right now and will be for sale at Ulta beginning March 1st. It sells for $25. Is this a moisturizer you will be trying?
