Happy Sunday! I know I don't regularly post on Sunday's around here, but I am bringing back a long lost feature where I share a bit about my week, what I've discovered and what I've been reading. I hope you enjoy reading these posts as much as I enjoy sharing them.
Honestly, I can't believe it's September. Where does the time go? Summer was definitely too short — it always is. TAKE ME BACK TO THE BEACH!
The kids are back to school; Johnny and Caci are busy away in college already, and my youngest Joey, is a senior in high school. I feel like fall is dedicated to all things football (Joey plays and I help head-up the local Gridiron Club) in between beauty. Football just makes me a nervous wreck.
I've been doing a lot of shopping lately — I don't know why I stock up on things in the fall, but I do. It's probably because Ulta keeps sending me 20% off coupons. Did you check to see if you have one? I got two in the last few weeks; one coupon could be used without restrictions and one excluded prestige brands. Here is everything I bought.
I don't have much from Huda Beauty, but the new Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette will be mine! Those pressed pearl shades...
I think my favorite lip color to wear is a pinky nude shade. The fact that I could fill a box with all the pinky nude lip products I have should tell you how obsessed I am with this color. Beauty411 recently shared her favorite pink-nude lipsticks; if you don't have at least one on her list, you are missing out.
I'm into scalp scrubs; have you tried them yet? I recently ordered this one and will let you know my thoughts soon. The addition of walnuts has me very intrigued.
Did you see that the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette is being discontinued? Buy it now for HALF OFF before it is gone for good!
I absolutely LOVE philosophy's fragrances. Did you see the latest in the Pure Grace line up? Hint: it is ROSE!
The last thing I need is another neutral eyeshadow palette, but man, the Tarte Make Magic Palette spoke to me, especially after I read about it here.
The fall season means pumpkin spice everything, but Pumpkin spice skin care... are you into it?
Finally, my heart goes out to everyone affected by the hurricane and flooding in the south, particularly those in Texas. It's always a reminder to donate to your favorite charity that assists when disaster strikes. Give whatever you can: donate at redcross.org, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or text HARVEY to 90999.
