Top 10 Self-Tanners to Fake a Beautiful Faux Glow.
/If you want a beautiful golden tan, there is only one safe way to get it and that is with a self-tanner.
There are a lot of great self-tanning options available these days. From lotions and creams to mousses and sprays, there is an option that will give you the beautiful faux glow you want.
What is so great about self-tanners on the market now is that they are made to give you a more believable brown color that lasts longer and most have special scent technology so that telltale self-tanner scent is no longer an issue.
I am a big self-tanner fan and use them on the regular.
I have been putting some new self-tanners to the test and found a few that I really liked, so I need to update my list.
Plus I discovered the best new way to apply self-tanner, so you need to read to the end of the post so you can be assured you get an even, flawless streak-free tan too.
These are my new favorites - the top 10 self-tanners to fake a beautiful faux glow.
1.Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse
pHenomenal is a super long-lasting, the longest I've ever used. The brand claims that it lasts 2-3 weeks, but you have to apply it as they suggest. I noticed some fading around ten days, but still had traces of it on my legs after two weeks. I never thought I could have a self-tanner last this long and only applying every two weeks is a dream come true.
2. Beautisol Self-Tanning Mousse
This dark brown tinted self-tanner has no self tanning scent at all. It is very easy to apply and delivers a very even, believable shade of golden brown.
3. L'OrΓ©al Paris Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Serum
This is a super fast drying serum feeling like self-tanner that leaves a beautiful golden glow that lasts up to two weeks. When applied three days in a row, I did experience a nice faux tan for about ten days before it faded, with all of it gone by two weeks. I would reapply around day nine or ten to even it out and keep it looking streak free and golden gorgeous!

4. Karora Express Bronzing Mousse Self-Tanner
This self-tanner is a foamy mousse with a color guide that applies with ease. I applied it with a mitt for an even, streak-free application. It does dry within a few minutes, and the wonderful lemon smell does away as soon as it dries. I showered an hour after I applied and I was left with a very light tan. The longer I leave it on (up to three hours) the darker tan I get.
This bronze tinted self-tanning gel is great for when I need my legs darkened up in a flash. Color is developed in about 30 minutes.
6. Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanner
This very liquid self-tanning lotion applies very easily and dries in a few minutes. When I am in a rush, this is the self-tanner I apply.
7. Jergens Natural Glow FACE Daily Moisturizer Sunscreen
I use this every other night on my face about an hour before I put on my night time moisturizer. The result is natural and gradual.
8. Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse
For a deep brown tan, I get it with this self-tanning mousse. I apply it with a tanning mitt so it goes on evenly and streak free. I notice rapid color development in an hour but leave it on overnight to get a deep, rich tan. I love the Tahitian Gardenia scent.

9. St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse
This foaming mousse develops into a very deep, dark self-tan overnight. I like that it dries fast and lasts about five days looking natural.
This tinted self-tan liquid develops into a beautiful, natural-looking tan in just 60 minutes. Accelerators speed up development time so a golden glow is achieved in an hour.
Now for my new discovery to apply self-tanner, which is the latest from beautyblender, the bodyblender.
The bodyblender is a super unique sponge that is like a large beautyblender sponge but oversized and contoured and flattened out.
It is large enough to cover the curves of your body yet still fit into the palm of your hand and control it easily. It ensures even coverage of self-tanner application.
I actually apply a dollop sized amount of self-tanner right onto the sponge (dry) and blend it over my body. I still use a mitt for larger areas of my body like my legs, but this is great for my face, neck, chest, arms and hands.
It is especially good for the hands and controlling the amount of tanner and blending it flawlessly. This is a self-tanning tool you don't want to be without!
The bodyblender is available for $28.00 at Sephora right now.
