With the warmer weather here, it is now more important than ever to have your makeup last through all the elements.

I've spoken about the importance of makeup primers and setting sprays often. These types of products were specifically designed to lock-in your makeup look and have it last, so they are essential products.

Transform Your Makeup & Make It Last with Urban Decay

Transforming your makeup so that it works for you in a customizable way is a new breed of product and I really like having a few of these transforming products in my makeup bag, too. If you want a sheer foundation, a glow to your look, a matte or airbrush finish, you can add a product to the foundation you already have.

Urban Decay is always at the forefront of the makeup game and they have me covered in both transforming my makeup and keeping it on all day. I have been using the makeup setting and priming sprays for a few years, with the original All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray since its inception. Newer to me are the transforming makeup products, but I'm really obsessed with them.

I start my makeup routine with a prep spray. Just like a primer, Urban Decay Rebound Collagen-Infused Complexion Prep Priming Spray gets skin ready for makeup. This makeup priming spray firms and smooths the skin as it wakes skin up as soon as I spray it on. It is a collagen and radiance-boosting cocktail that gives skin a bit of hydration, too. The sprayer is perfectly calibrated so it emits a microfine mist that goes on so light that you'll hardly feel it.

I alternate my setting sprays. This time of year, I tend to use the newer All Nighter Pollution Protection Makeup Setting Spray. This is an upgraded version of the original setting spray as it provides an environmental defense that I need as I am spending more time outdoors. It's lightweight, like the original, with a microfine mist, and it literally locks down makeup for up to 16 hours of wear time with just four to five sprays over my face.

When I'm not wearing the Pollution Protection Makeup Setting Spray, I turn to the original All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. As I mentioned, I've used this must-have since it was released years ago.

Now for the transformation makeup products.

Urban Decay knows that we don't settle, that not everyone wants a matte finish or to glow like JLo. For this reason, they have two phenomenal products that can literally transform your products and your makeup look.

The first one that I have been using is The Velvetizer. This is a really unique Translucent Mix-In Medium that you add to any of your foundations.

The Velvetizer not only creates an extra velvety feel to skin, it gives you a beautiful matte finish and more coverage. Just when you thought your sheer finish foundation that you really liked for the weekend would never get used up, just add a tiny scoop of The Velvetizer to it. You will be in love with the silky, airbrushed-looking finish that you transformed yourself into. It never messes with the color, just the finish. It is a really cool product, unlike anything I've ever tried before.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Drop Shot Mix-In Facial Oil. You can use this lightweight nourishing oil (it's made with jojoba, sunflower, macadamia, pomegranate, wheat germ, meadowfoam and olive seed oils) on its own to give your skin a bit of a glow. To transform your makeup, add a shot of the Mix-In Facial Oil to your matte foundation to sheer it out and transform it into a more natural looking foundation. The amount of radiance or dewy look is up to you and the amount you add to your foundation.
