Urban Decay Naked Heat is here and it is hotter than ever. I am talking about the Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette PLUS the Vice Lipsticks and 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils that were inspired by the new palette. If you are looking to warm up your makeup look this summer, look no further than these amber-hued neutrals.
I have always loved warm browns, rich bronzes, and rich siennas; that is the heart of the Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette. What is so perfect about how Urban Decay made this palette and the shades, is that these ARE neutrals and they are designed to look flattering on any skin tone. And they do. I've seen this palette used on super pale skin tones and really dark skin tones, and no matter the look, it is stunning.
Everything from the packaging to the shades screams scorching hot!
The shade lineup:
Ounce: Ivory shimmer
Chase: Light nude matte
Sauced: Soft terra-cotta matte
Low Blow: brown matte
Lumbre: Copper shimmer with gold pearl shift
He Devil: Burnt red matte
Dirty Talk: Metallic burnt red
Scorched: Metallic deep red with gold micro-shimmer
Cayenne: Deep terra-cotta matte
En Fuego: Burgundy matte
Ashes: Deep reddish-brown matte
Ember: Deep metallic copper-burgundy
I am absolutely LOVING the Naked Heat palette. I have been mixing up looks, but I seem to use Ounce, Chaser, Sauced, Lumbre, Cayenne and Low Blow the most. I found that these shadows are like the rest of the brand's shadows; they are very well pigmented and stay on where you apply. I haven't experienced much fallout (I swear that depends on the brush you use). The shadows do last all day but look even better when you apply with Urban Decay Primer Potion, which I highly suggest using.
Inspired by the palette, Urban Decay wanted to expand on the warm range, so they have launched a limited-edition lipstick capsule collection and two new eye pencil shades. All of these coordinate beautifully with the Naked Heat palette. Of course, I am obsessed with the peachy-nude shade called Fuel. Just look at the lineup:
Vice Lipstick ($17)
Fuel: Warm peachy nude
Heat: Burnt red with gold pearl
Scorched: Metallic copper
24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil ($20)
Alkaline: Deep wine
Torch: Sienna
The Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette ($54) and the rest of the collection is available now. Buy it at Sephora, Ulta, Macy's and urbandecay.com.
