$40 Hair Cuts & $25 Hair Styling to Benefit John Freida HAIRraising.
/
Salons in the Boston and New England area are coming together to raise money for a new charity formed by John Freida called HAIRraising. HAIRraising was launched with Freida's long-time business partner Gail Federici to unite the salon industry to benefit the Children's Hospital Boston.
I have been to Children's Hospital Boston and have witnessed first hand the phenomenal work that they do. Brave children come from around the world just to be treated in the hospital. There is nothing more heart breaking and heart warming than to walk the halls to see the science and love come together to treat these children.
To do your part and help with this effort, all you have to do is make an appointment at a participating salons for a cut-a-thon on April 25th (in the New England area), where $40 hair cuts will be offered with all the proceeds going to Children's Hospital Boston. Also, John Frieda’s Style On-Sight Mobile Salon Tour will also be participating in the cut-a-thon, offering 30 minute styling sessions on the 25th, for just a $25 donation. The John Frieda brand will match that donation for everyone that comes in – all to benefit the cause. Salons in other parts of the country will be holding similar events throughout April and May. For those cut-a-thon dates and participating salons, click here.
Salons include Umi Salon, Bradley + Diegel, Patrice Vinci Salon, Stilisti Salon, Salon Mario Russo, James Joseph Salon, Salon Capri, Avanti Salon Boston, Michael Labrecque Salon, Salon Marc Harris, Mizu Salon and Nicholas Michael Salon. The list is growing as the events nears, so be sure to check out the complete list of salons.
In addition, industry insiders such as Sally Hershberger, Oribe, Serge Normant, Orlando Pita, Ted Gibson, Harry Josh, Nick Arrojo, and Danilo will be getting involved on a nationwide level. During the month of May, clients at every participating salon will be asked if they would be willing to add just $2 dollars to their bill to benefit Children’s Hospital.
I applaud John Frieda and his efforts, along with the other participating stylists. I just might have to make my way into the city that day to experience a little hair update myself.
