MAKEUP

Makeup Artist : Mary Phillips

INSPIRATION: Jennifer is always a focal point on the red carpet, and Mary really likes to go all out for big award shows like the Golden Globes. She wanted old school Hollywood glamour and va-va-voom, drawing inspiration from Italian bombshells like Sophia Loren: sexy, fearless, timeless, bold, striking.

STEP-BY-STEP:
STEP 1: Mary applied L’Oréal Paris RevitaLift Moisture Blur ($24.99) to the entire face as a primer for smooth texture
STEP 2: Next, she covered the face with L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation ($14.99) in Honey Beige. She added drops of a luminous highlighter, Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer ($62) for definition and sheen.
STEP 3: For eyes, Mary used  L’Oréal Paris Infallible Smokissime Powder Eyeliner in Brown Smoke ($9.99) as a simple one-step to a smokey look.  She accented using taupe, gold and brown hues of Infallible Eye Shadow Crayon ($7.99)
STEP 4: She turned to L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Sculptor in Brunette ($8.99) subtly fashioning brows to frame the face without being too overbearing
STEP 5: For lips, Mary used Giorgio Armani Smooth Silk Lip Pencil #1 ($30)– the nude of nudes – to line the lips, and finished with L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Lip Color in Neverending Nutmeg ($12.99).  The pale hue worked perfectly against her metallic dress
STEP 6: She finished off with L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray ($16.99), which kept Jennifer’s makeup looking fresh for hours following application

HAIR

HAIRSTYLIST: Lorenzo Martin

INSPIRATION: When Lorenzo saw Jennifer’s Zuhair Murad 1960’s inspired dress he immediately thought of Sharon Tate, who became his inspiration for the look.

STEP 1: Lorenzo washed Jennifer’s hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare - Volume Filler Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner ($4.99 each). On damp hair, he sprayed L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It High Lift Creation Spray ($4.99).
STEP 2: To amp up volume, Lorenzo applied L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Volume Inject Mousse ($4.99) on damp hair and began to blow dry with a round brush.
STEP 3: Lorenzo set Jennifer’s hair in 1” hot rollers for about an hour. Jennifer then flipped her hair over and Lorenzo brushed her hair out
STEP 4: He began to tease the crown while spraying L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strong Hold ($14.99).
STEP 5: To complete the look, Lorenzo used a comb to split a front portion of Jennifer’s hair down the middle and secured behind her ears with a few bobby pins.
Tip: To get a similar hair color as Jennifer’s use L’Oreal Paris Mousse Absolue in Pure Light Brown.

NAILS

MANICURIST: Tom Bachik, L’Oréal Paris Global Nail Artist

INSPIRATION: The fierceness of Jennifer’s Zuhair Murad dress inspired Tom to create long, pointed nails to go with the low neckline. The hidden detail and bold color choice complemented the look.

STEP 1: To prep the nails, Tom started by adding a few drops of the L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Glow Renewal Facial Oil ($24.99) and rubbed into the cuticles
STEP 2: To create a classic and elegant look, Tom chose a rose gold, metallic shade – L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail in Charmed, I’m Sure ($5.99)
STEP 3: To complete the look, Tom added a little surprise on the underside of the nail by applying Swarovski crystals, a larger one closer to the nail bed and another on the tip

INSPIRATION
When I was first shown the dress in a picture, the emotions were elegant, sexy, effortless, glamorous...almost as if a movie star from classic Hollywood reappeared in the present time after she stopped at the beach for a bit. I wanted the finished look to represent the emotions and Jennifer’s well known effortless, sun-kissed yet classic and sexy look.

FACE
I wanted to focus on Jennifer’s skin, and to do some highlighting and shading because that always reminds me of old Hollywood. I did all the highlighting with CHANEL Perfection Lumière Velvet Smooth-Effect Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15. I started by applying CHANEL Perfection Lumière Velvet Smooth-Effect Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in 70 Beige with a foundation brush to frame her face and neck, and to define her cheeks. Next, I took CHANEL Perfection Lumière Velvet Smooth-Effect Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in 40 Beige and blended all over the face, and then added a very light coat to the eyelids. Using a smaller brush, I highlighted key areas of the face (such as the tops of the cheekbones and the bridge of the nose) with CHANEL Perfection Lumière Velvet Smooth-Effect Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in 22 Beige Rosé. For blush, I started building color with CHANEL Le Blush Crème de Chanel in Destiny, then added CHANEL Le Blush Crème de Chanel in Intonation to the apples of the cheeks. After that, I dusted on a bit of CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour in N°70 for a hint of bronze.

EYES
I used two eye compacts: CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Mademoiselle and Tissé Vendôme. From CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Mademoiselle, I mixed the medium-brown tones together and applied them to her lid. I added the darker tone to the eye crease and outer corners, emphasizing the natural shape of her eye. Then using CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Vendôme, I brushed the darker brown shadow into the crease and kept blending upward. I finished with a hint of the highlighting shade from CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Mademoiselle underneath the brow at the highest point. I lined Jennifer’s upper lashline with CHANEL Écriture de Chanel Eyeliner Pen in Noir, using a small, angular brush and adding intensity at the outer corners. After curling her lashes, I added CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir, first using a flat brush and applying right into the lashline, and then applying several coats with the mascara brush.

LIPS
After lining with CHANEL Precision Lip Definer in Mordoré-Nude, I applied two coats of CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Deauville. I topped that with gloss, CHANEL Glossimer in Sweet Beige.

NAILS

INSPIRATION: Jennifer’s shimmery, black Saint Laurent dress called for an old Hollywood, glamour look.

STEP 2: To enhance the powerful nail look, Tom went with a deep Bordeaux shade using, L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail in Haute Couture Red ($5.99)
