Get the Look: Piper Perabo at 2012 Golden Globes.

For tonights Golden Globe Awards, Piper Perabo had her makeup created by Troy Surratt for NARS Cosmetics.

Inspiration:
"The look is very ethereal. It’s dewy and glowing with a gorgeous sparkly pink lip, which was the perfect look to complement her bold dress. For me, it was a classic approach with a subtle balance of attention paid to all points of the face."

The Look:
We started with Cle de Peau La Crème to prep her skin as it’s something she uses on the show and day to day. Her foundation was NARS Sheer Glow Foundation with Cle de Peau Concealer to cover any imperfections.

On her eyes, we dusted the shimmery icy pink side of  Douce France Trio Eyeshadow (new for Spring 2012). We created a thin, barely-there line of black along her entire lashline using the Nuits Blanches Eyeliner Stylo. To get the precision, we placed the Push Eyeliner Brush to the ink of the stylo, and applied a thin line from the inner corner to the outer corner, growing slightly thicker at the outer corner, but not extending past the corner. We used Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara on her lashes for definition. Brows were filled in with Jodhpur Eyebrow Pencil to make them appear more dense. To set the pencil, I applied Shiseido Translucent Brow Shaper.

On the apples of her cheeks, using a Yachiyo Kabuki Artisan Brush, we created warmth with Gilda Blush. It was the perfect blush shade at the intersection of peach meets pink without any shimmer.

We created a pinky-beige lip by first lightly defining with Rosebud Lipliner Pencil, filling in with with Frivolous Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil, and applying Baby Doll Lip Lacquer just to the center of the lips. This creates a light-reflecting affect for a fuller pout on the red carpet.

Get the Look: Ashley Greene at the People's Choice Awards.

mark Brand Ambassador Ashley Greene made her mark at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles last night. Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali shared her makeup tricks for creating Ashley’s classic look.

The Look: “Ashley wanted a hint of smolder in the eyes but didn’t want anything dark or overdone.  We decided to go with bold brows, a sexy wash of bronze on the eye and subtly stained red lips.”

Face:

”I started by adding a bit of foundation and concealer to Ashley’s skin where needed using mark Min-A-Real Cream-To-Powder Foundation and mark Conceal For Real Long-Lasting Hook Up Concealer. To warm up Ashley’s skin tone and accentuate the contours of her face, I added mark Matte-Nifficent Oil-Absorbing Powder and dusted mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder to her temples, under her cheekbones and chin. Then I used mark Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes All Over Face Palette to add a sheer, luminous glow to her cheekbones, brow bones and a touch on the bridge of her nose.”

Cheeks:

“For a soft, healthy flush, I used my fingers to apply a little of mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Peachy to the apples of Ashley’s cheeks.”

Eyes:

“I started by sweeping mark I-Mark Metallics Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Truffle all over Ashley’s lid and under her bottom lashes, blending to sheer at the crease and extending outward to elongate the eye. Next, I applied mark No Place To Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jet Set and Foxy Brown to frame her eyes and give them a feline resemblance. As always, I finished Ashley’s look by applying mark Lash All You Want Mascara in Black to make her eyes a stand out feature.”

Brows:

“I strengthened Ashley’s brows, making them bolder and lengthening them with mark Brow Factor Hook Up Clear Brow Gel.”

Lips:

“Using my fingers, I applied mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Cha Cha to the center of Ashley’s lips, gently pressing the color in and blending outward toward the edge, giving the lips a pop of color but keeping the line soft and easy.”

Get the Look: Taylor Swift at the American Music Awards.

Celebrity makeup artist Lorrie Turk created Taylor Swift's makeup look for last nights American Music Awards.

The American Music Awards Show itself was the inspiration for Taylor's look.  I wanted to reflect the youthful, fun vibe of this event.

With a foundation brush, I smoothed CoverGirl's Natureluxe Silk Foundation onto her skin followed by a dab of concealer on the inner corners of her eyes. I applied the concealer with the tip of my ring finger in a patting motion. CG TruBlend Minerals Blush in Shimmering Sands was used along the cheekbones to add highlight and color.

With a dampened eyeshadow brush, I brushed on COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Tapestry Taupe from her lash line to just above her crease and blended that in an up and outward motion.  On the innermost corners of her eyes, I applied COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Snow blossom with a small damp brush to brighten and highlight her eyes.  I lined just the tops on her lash line with a very thin line using COVERGIRL LineExact Liquid Liner in Very Black. I finished her eyes by applying a couple of coats of COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara in Very Black to her upper and lower lashes.

I applied COVERGIRL ShineBlast Lipgloss in Dazzle directly from the applicator wand and then put it in her purse for any possible touchups later in the evening.
