Beauty Products that Go the Distance.

Just like the athletes in the Olympic Winter Games out in the extreme elements, we can relate too; this winter has been rough. I'm sure we would all love to be at the Olympic Games in the warm 60 degree temperatures they are having in Sochi right now, but we are not. Thankfully, there are a host of beauty products that go the distance to keep us in the best condition through the worst elements.
I have come to depend on so many products that I turn to time and time again in the winter months. Here are some of my favorites.
From the skiers on the slopes with their hair that looks beautiful beneath their snow hats, to the skaters on the ice in their tight buns, the Olympic athletes continually look their best with products that outlast them. For us at home, dry hair, static and frizz have become hairs' worst enemy in the freezing temperatures and dry indoor heat.
Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue Shampoo works to relieve my dry itchy, winter scalp and helps to repair my damaged hair. It's formulated with a blend of conditioners right in the shampoo so it locks moisture in while forming a moisture barrier to protect against further damage from the elements. Hair is left soft and silky.
Pantene All-In-One Styling Balm is the ultimate winter hair styler because it not only strengthens and smoothes my hair, but it fights dry frizzy hair too. I don't have to worry about hair static when using either. All I do is rub a small amount of the balm between my fingers and run it over my dry hair and the static is gone.
Skin needs extra special care in the cold and the Olympic athletes know this all too well. Figure Skaters show a lot of skin in their costumes so not only does it have to look its best, it has to be treated with special care as it is exposed to ice for hours on end. Back here in the US, it feels like we are out in the cold and ice for hours on end this year too, doesn't it?
The Venus & Olay Razor keeps legs super soft and smooth and hydrated all at once. The razor features five razor blades to work with precision and built-in moisture bars keep skin smooth and hydrated all winter long. Bonus: you don't need shaving cream so shaving is quick and easy.
Olay has a few body washes that deeply moisturize skin right in the shower. Olay Sensitive Skin Body Wash gently restores moisture to sensitive, winter-damaged skin. It smells light and fresh too. Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash is a soap free formula that is made with shea butter for super moisturization. This one is a staple in every shower in my house.
One product that all of us need to get through all of the extreme elements, whether an Olympic Games athlete or those of us watching those heart-pounding medal worthy moments is Secret Clinical Strength. It may not be a beauty product per se, but we use it everyday in our beauty routine and it goes the distance like nothing else. Choose from Smooth Solid, Clear Gel (my favorite) or Invisible Solid.
All of the products mentioned can be found at your favorite drugstore or mass retailer.
