Lip gloss is back, baby, and it's back in a big way! I am super excited about this latest trend as I could never get on board with the deep, matte lip trend. I mean, sure, I like rich lip color, but the super mattes were not for me.
I've been a lip gloss girl since as long as I can remember, and with each new lip gloss launch, I am more thrilled than the last. One glance at the new Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss and I think you will see why.
Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss is a brand new ultra-shiny gloss that delivers beautiful color to the lips. This non-sticky gloss goes on and stays on with a soft, cushiony feel.
What I like about Hi-Fi Shine is that each shade is really different from the rest and each one that I have tried has been beautiful.
There are twenty shades in four different finishes: metallic, holographic, cream, and sheer cream. From sheer and sparkly, to full on creamy and pigmented that you think you are wearing a glossy lipstick, there is truly something for everyone in the Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss lineup.
I have experienced better-than-average wear time with these glosses. I have been getting a good three to four hours of wear before I need to apply with the sheer and shimmer shades, while more pigmented shades like Rapture and 1993 are lasting five or six hours on me. They don't bleed whatsoever and as I mentioned, they are not sticky, at all. They almost feel hydrating on the lips.
Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss is formulated with Vitamin E and peppermint oil and they do have a slight minty flavor but mixed with a bit of vanilla; it is very pleasant.
Backtalk is a must-have for me, as I am obsessed with the Backtalk Eye & Face Palette. This is the perfect nude pink shade with a mauve undertone.
If you are looking for a great nude lip gloss, try Fuel or FIreball, which has a hint of holographic sparkle. I really like the two other holographic glosses, SPL and Candy Flip, too. These are great shades for spring.
I think Goldmine is a must-have shade. Metallics are still having a moment and this golden metallic gloss is perfect over any lipstick shade (or on its own) and I think that I'll be getting a lot of use out of it, especially this summer when I wear a lot of metallic shades.
Each Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss sells for $20 at urbandecay.com, Sephora and ULTA.
