Moroccanoil Must-Haves

It goes without saying that Moroccanoil is a brand that has changed the industry. What started with the original Moroccanoil Argan Oil Treatment and has grown into a complete line of hair care and bath and body products, I have been obsessed with the brand since the I first tried that treatment years ago.

Since first trying the original Moroccanoil Treatment, I have gone on to become obsessed with the Dry Shampoo and now more products. I have quite a few Moroccanoil products in my daily hair regimen.

Moroccanoil products are especially essential in the summer and warm weather months as the products are all enriched with Argan Oil. When used in hair care products, Argan Oil helps to smooth hair and give it extra shine.

These are my Moroccanoil must-haves.

I usually start with the Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, which I don’t have pictured. I buy the liter sizes and these last me the better part of a year. I only wash my hair two to three times a week and rarely share my shower; a little goes a long way.

For styling and treatment I always start with the original Moroccanoil Treatment. As I said above. this inspired the Argan-Oil craze and oil-infused hair care craze. Moroccanoil Treatment is available in the original version and lighter version. This oil is infused with antioxidant-rich Argan oil and shine—boosting vitamins to transform the hair. It does so many great things! Just a few include smoothing, protecting from frizz, detangling, speeding up dry time and giving hair a ton of shine. Only a pump or two is all you need depending on the length and thickness of your hair.

After I apply Moroccanoil Treatment, I apply a pea-sized amount of Mending Infusion to the ends of my hair. I obviously color my hair and deal with breakage and split ends. Mending Infusion helps to reduce the visible signs of damaged hair like frayed ends, dryness and color damage. Plus it helps to protect the hair against further damage.

Next up is the Hydrating Styling Cream or Beach Wave Mousse, depending upon my desired style. Because it is now summer and I am wearing my hair back and up more often, I prefer the Hydrating Styling Cream for aid in smoothing frizz and styling.

Right before I dry my hair I apply a small amount of Perfect Defense. Moroccanoil Perfect Defense is unique as it’s a dry aerosol spray that goes on weightlessly. This formula protects hair and rehydrates it from drying and styling. If you use a flat iron or curl on second or third day hair, it is even great to use on dry hair.

After drying, I use a bit of the Dry Texture Spray. When I am going for an everyday, tousled wavy look, I can add just enough of the Dry Texture Spray in place of finishing or hair spray; it gives just enough grip and texture and hold to my hair. When wanting more hold, I finish with the Luminous Hairspray. These are infused with Argan Oil as well, to smooth the hair and keep it frizz-free.
