Transitional Skin Care - 10 Products to Use in the Fall.

With summer coming to a close and fall just around the corner, we change a lot about our routines. Skin care should not be left out. After a long, hot summer out in the sun, surf and whatever else you may have subjected your skin to, it is time to get your skin back in tip top shape. Before you start layering on heavier creams for the cold weather months, it is time to use some transitional skin care. 3. Erno Laszlo Hydrogel Masks
Hydration needs to get back into the skin this time of year and masks are a really good way to quickly and deeply infuse it back in there. I use masks at least once a week. These masks use a non-drying gel material that helps active ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin. I like the Soothe & Calm mask for this time of year with its deeply hydrating ingredients. There is no easier way to exfoliate the skin than with a cleanser. This new derm-inspired cleanser is gentle and efficient. It's made with soft micro-pearls along with glycolic acid to exfoliate dullness and daily skin impurities. When using it every day, this cleanser will improve skin tone, texture and brighten skin. It doesn't get much easier. $6.99 at drugstores like Walgreens and mass retailers like Target as well as Ulta. 

5. Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel
I use this peel every week to brighten my skin. Made with Vitamin C to instantly brighten while a combination of acids exfoliates, I swear this works as well as some of the peels I get during my monthly facials. $55 at Murad, Sephora or Ulta. 

6. Biotherm Aquasource Total Eye Revitalizer
This eye cream instantly cools and depuffs the undereye area. It is made with caffeine to reduce bags and puffiness — you can feel it working. After a long summer or a night without enough sleep, this is great. $42 at Biotherm-usa.com.

7. Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator
This is a powerful exfoliator that sloughs away, dead, dry skin cells that have built up over time, especially after neglecting it over the summer. This formula contains aluminum oxide crystals, lactic acid, plus soothing botanicals to polish away dead skin cells. 8. The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Sleeping Mask
The best time to give skin back its need much moisture is when we sleep. This cream-gel mask is made for sleeping in, and it works really well overnight to lock in moisture as its made with Vitamin E and Soya Oil. It immediately gets rid of that dry, tight feeling and skin is so much softer when I wake up. $24 at thebodyshop-usa.com or Ulta.

9. The Original MakeUp Eraser
After a long summer, sometimes less is more with the skin. This unique way of removing makeup is gentle and different, yet it works. It doesn't replace cleansing, yet it works to remove makeup. By simply wetting this special cloth with warm water, this ultrasoft, makeup removing cloth removes every trace of makeup from my skin — even hard to remove waterproof and long wearing makeup. It's reusable too; each cloth can be washed one thousand times and still work. I like that I can use this then use a Clarisonic Skin Cleansing Brush to do my cleansing after. $20 at Sephora. 

10. Biotherm Aquasource Night Spa
This overnight balm deeply hydrates the skin and leaves it super soft and smooth, after just one night. Not too rich, yet hydrating enough for this time of year, this gel-like balm, feels almost like a mask that gives my skin an intense burst of hydration when needed most.
