If there was ever a beauty collaboration made to be, it is this one. Urban Decay x Game of Thrones — let’s just let that sink in for a moment.
When I heard about the Game of Thrones makeup collection, I knew there was no better fit than Urban Decay. I don’t think anyone could do better than UD than with a limited-edition lineup of makeup inspired by the strong women of Westeros that’s fit to rule the throne.
No matter who you pledge you allegiance to, I am telling you that you are going to be smitten with the 3D pop-up palette that features the one and only throne itself. It is a collectors item.
As soon as I saw the names, shades, special packaging and the two eyeshadow brushes, I could not wait to get my hands on it all.
Urban Decay was kind enough to send over the entire Urban Decay x Game of Thrones Collection so get ready for lots and lots or pictures. Plus I have product descriptions on each piece of the collection.
The must-have one-of-a-kind piece is the Game of Thrones Eyeshadow Palette ($65). This palette is a collectors piece.
Housed in a pop-up palette, complete with the iconic throne, there are 20 shades grouped into four quint palettes, with fours shadows each and one transformer shade. The transformer shades completely transform each shadow.
Each grouping represents the intensity and diversity of Westeros’ power players. There is the House Targaryen made up of jewel-tone shimmers, House Lannister which is made up of regal metallic mattes and shimmers, House Star which has smoky mattes and neutral shimmers, and the White Walkers which features cool, icy shimmers.
For cheeks, there is the Mother of Dragons Highlight Palette ($36) that features three new Afterglow Highlighters. Included in the palette are Drogon which is a frosted pink, Viserion which is a metallic golden nude and Rhaegal which is a metallic bronze.
The Game of Thrones Lip & Cheek Stain ($26) is a universally flattering Targaryen red shade that gives you the perfect flush for lips and cheeks. It is more of a “flush” and see-through shade.
There are four 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils ($22) in the UD x Game of Thrones makeup collection and I am loving the ombre pencils. The formula is the same award-winning formula that we have all come to know and love (creamy, soft, long-lasting and waterproof) but comes in the four limited-edition GOT shades. The shades: Lannister Gold which is a metallic gold, Winterfell Snow which is an iridescent white, Dragon Smoke, which is a smoky holographic black and The Night King, which is a shimmery dark teal (my favorite!).
There are four limited edition GOT Vice Lipstick shades ($19) and they are just what you envision with a Game of Thrones makeup collection.
The Urban Decay x Game of Thrones Vice Lipstick shades include Cersei Lannister which is a bright metallic bronze, Daenerys Targaryen which is a fiery metallic red, Sansa Stark which is a warm peach nude and White Walker which is a deep berry-wine.
There are two pro-quality cruelty-free brushes that US came up and I don’t even want to use these, but somehow encase these — I just love artistry and detail that went into the design. They are both eyeshadow brushes, but both are truly inspired by “supporting” characters.
There is Jon Snow’s Longclaw Large Eyeshadow Brush ($28) that is inspired by the storied Valyrian steel sword and Arya Stark’s Needle Flat Eyeshadow Brush ($28).
I am smitten with the Mother of Dragons Highlight Palette. I have always loved UD highlighters, and the three new shades are great alone, worn together or even blended together for a custom one-of-a-kind look.
I couldn’t wait to try the Lip & Cheek Stain and it’s not as intense as I expected. This red shade is more of a flush and it is something I can get behind. I apply it right with my fingers, then dab a bit of Sansa Stark over it and blend with my fingers.
You can never go wrong with the 24/7 Eye Pencil and these pair perfectly with the Game of Thrones Eyeshadow Palette.
